#Tasks feature fail after a time. Broken Task widget, Order priorities are broken
31 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Basically a game reload fixes this. But I dont wanan do that all the time.
Randomly the player stops following orders and does repairing with random cobination of orders (installs, uninstall, whatever)
That icon above got created, with those errors spamming in the console
temporarly solution is to spam the X button, restart autotask
when this happens, most of the time the player stands still, tasks appearing. once task per installing sycle (so you need like 5 actions to install something). This can take like up to 1 minute ingame time.
then sometimes that stops working too. it loads tasks, then just goes to repair, and those tasks are gone too
Thanks for the heads-up!
Do you happen to have a save where this is happening that you can upload somewhere for us to download?
I'll get this logged as a bug.

@solid wasp ^
Thanks! I'll add that link to the bug report.
- Have you enabled any mods or changed any game files?
Dont forget about this one.
It could matters a lot.
It was an issue before and after mods too.
@solid wasp Hello! I am not sure if you fixed the error. It does feel like so! But I'd like to report an error abotu this bug
The tasks now for perfectly...
when the task window is open. It remains broken until you open it. Then the player will stop repairing and actually do their task..
So the bug fix only activates with the task window open
I believe I have a related issue. Replication steps:
- Queue up uninstall tasks in an unreachable state (airlock opening is required to complete task, but forbidden for player character PC)
- Click autotasks, all tasks evaluate to "cannot comply"
- Manually move PC to resolve issue (move them past the airlock)
- Click autotask - expected behavior is that PC should now begin fulfilling the blocked tasks. Instead they begin repairing.
Like @sturdy acorn if I open the task window then cycle autotask again the behavior is corrected & the PC will begin fulfilling tasks
It wasn't a suggestion, it was replication
