#Shifting zones/layers, duplicating rooms, oxygen leak, etc.

version: 0.14.0.13 (64) (but i have this problem since 0.12 version)

The problem may be caused by incorrect deletion of temporary "cells" for placing items outside the ship.

  1. Loaded save (autosave_217_zones ok last). Zones ok. All ok. (Fig. 1)
  2. I uninstall the wall lamp from the outside of the ship (orange), which was previously inside (purple). (Fig. 2)
    The uninstalled lamp is automatically placed on an external temporary "cell" outside the ship's hull. Zones ok. Everything ok.(Fig. 3)
  3. Save (autosave_218_zones ok last).
  4. Dragndrop the lamp from its external temporary "cell" to my bag in the crate. (Fig. 4) The zones haven't shifted. No oxygen leakage in closed rooms! All is ok. And I don't see that anything was broken, but...!!! until reloading!d see below.
  5. Save! (autosave_219_zones ok last).
  6. Load autosave_218_zones ok last. (After uninstalling lamp and placing on a ext temp cell.) Everything seems to be fine. (Fig. 5)
  7. Load autosave_219_zones ok last. (After wall lamp was dragndrop from the cell to my bag.) (Fig. 6)
    That's it. The zones are shifted. There is no oxygen in any rooms. Oxygen pumping does not give results. (Fig. 6)
    And most importantly, the preconditions for the appearance of duplicate rooms appeared. I flew by taxi to OKLG. And after returning by taxi to my ship, I received duplicate rooms. (Fig. 8)

In addition:
The pump control panel shows that it does not have a canister at the input. (Fig. 9) Although the canister is mounted. (Fig. 10) Reinstalling the canister and the pump does not correct the situation.

And this problem is not solved by adding/removing walls to recalculate rooms. Nor by using the ship rating kiosk (which freezes when evaluating a ship). (Fig. 7) Only going back to a far previous save with the hope that playing differently will not cause this problem again.

I didn't test extensively, but I was having a similar issue with duplicate rooms while building an extension to my ship. I had a large flooring section off the side of my ship, with a zone covering it and extending down past it into empty space a fair bit. I then started building a smaller floor extension right below that and started having the issue. However, at one point I loaded in from my safe save, let things run as before, and checked the zones only to see them all striped instead of normal. I then deleted the zones and saved, and I did not have a duplication error.

This makes me wonder if the bug is related to rooms being constructed inside existing zones, or zones clipping into space having rooms added to them.

The attached save file was consistently causing the duplicate rooms error on save/reload after letting all the existing construction tasks complete.
