Cannot select anything, cannot move character, cannot load

a debug screen pops up, after that I am unable to control the character, though the game continues. first time was when I was repeairing in my ship and coming up on my destination, the debug screenshot is from trying to load the autosave that occured after that error happened. I uninstalled and reinstalled, whole new character, go on the first derelict, was confronted by a spacer who tried to mug me, back and forth on that a bit and the error popped up again. I am playing without any mods.
game time (repairing ship): 16 hours, save from 14.0.1 build coming into 14.0.2.
game time (fighting): 10 minutes. build fully 14.0.2

I get this often, I'll grab my info from it next time it happens. I believe that message happens repeatedly and sometimes enough to fill the entire console log for me.

I also get this often, both in 0.13 and 0.14. I'm not sure if it's related to widescreen/ultrawidescreen or the visiting the finance screen.

It sucks because you can't click any UI elements, including the ability to save before you exit.

if you're happy to do some save file diving and understand JSON this might be manually fixable by searching the folder for keys that are just ""

but i think we should have a fix on the way for this!
