Rules

Rule 1:
Hate speech. (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc).

Rule 2:
Nudity/Sex/Anything NSFW. This shouldn't really need to be said, since this is a server dedicated to Pokémon, but here we are. This means no pornography or anything of the like. No NSFW names/avatars, no NSFW conversations, no suggestive emotes, no sexualizing Pokémon or other people, and absolutely no mentions of anything horny whatsoever, even as a joke. For how rule 2 applies to sprites, please refer to our Extended Rule 2 Document.

Rule 3:
Self harm/suicide/other sensitive content. This is never just a joke, please don’t.

Rule 4:
Drugs. Any mention of any drugs, regardless of legality where you live is not acceptable.

Rule 5:
Gore, real life violence. If it isn’t appropriate for 13 year old’s in a film or TV then it isn’t appropriate here.

Rule 6:
Resources to illegal content (ROMs, pirated movies, etc). We are sure that there are ways and means of finding these that do not involve a Pokémon Fan Game discord server.

Rule 7:
File sharing (software, etc). This is purely for the protection of our users downloading unknown programs, unintentional viruses or anything else that could harm the systems of you all. The only exception to this rule is if you are asked to share your save file by the helpers with the Porygon Role.

Rule 8:
Politics, political figures and Religion. There are places to do this and they aren’t on a Discord for a Pokémon Fan Game.

Rule 9:
Spoilers / Leaks. Any announced information about upcoming games and media (including sprites, art, memes, or any reference new Pokémon or character designs) must be hidden under a spoiler, unless posted in the specific channel for that game for a minimum of 2 months after their release. Leaked information relevant to current and future games is no longer allowed on this server to ensure Nintendo doesn't disappear us.

Rule 10:
Self-promotion/Advertisement/Petitions/Fund Raising. This has been a grey area in the past and a little unclear on when it is and is not appropriate to do, so from now on we are asking you all to simply not do it here, thanks! The only exceptions to this are when explicit permissions from the Staff team have been given, thanks!

Rule 11:
Alt accounts. Under no circumstances are Alt Accounts tolerated, regardless of the purpose. These accounts will be met with an immediate ban.

Rule 12:
Impersonating staff/bots/other users. The staff and bots of the server need to be instantly recognizable to users. Parodies are allowed as long as its an obvious pastiche. E.g., nicknaming yourself "Milian2 (not a mod)" is ok.

Rule 13:
Doxxing. Please never discuss your own or anyone else’s personal details or post pictures of yourself or your loved ones, this is for the protection of you and every other user.

Rule 14:
Spam. Please keep a lid on the spamming of reactions, emotes, gifs, etc.

Rule 15:
AI art in sprites or ⁠artwork. Discussion and use of AI outside of this context is fine, but when using it, please communicate this and don't take credit for anything it produces.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Rule 16:
Be 13 or older. This is Discords ToS so it’s ours too.

Rule 17:
Be nice. Not just in this server, either, this is a good rule for life in general. Assume the best intentions of those you speak to, apologise if you hurt them, and allow them to apologise if they hurt you. Politeness and patience can stop a lot of unnecessary aggression.

Rule 18:
Read channel descriptions and stay on topic. We have channels dedicated for more or less everything so please use them!

Rule 19:
Respect staff decisions. The staff here are volunteers who love this community, and want to see it thrive. Please try not to assume malicious intentions if they make a decision you disagree with. If you have any issues with a moderator’s decision, please complete the Complaint Form pinned in ⁠announcements.

Rule 20:
Don't discuss banned/muted members. Ask staff in DMs if you have questions. As the rule title states, please do not argue or even discuss bans/mutes within the server. People were banned/muted for a reason and usually those reasons are not good to spread publicly. DM a mod if you require more information or think a ban and or mute is unjust.

Rule 21:
Art Theft. No claiming other people’s things as your own (art, sprites, etc). Do not post something that you didn't make and claim you did. Tracing from official Pokémon artwork is okay, but tracing fanart without permission is art theft. In the same vein, do not use any part of the custom fusion sprites other people have made without permission (base sprites made by the community are an exception, those are okay to use). There is zero tolerance on this rule. Using AI-generated art as part of sprites is not allowed either.
