Way too close to base sprite for that kind of declaration. It's perfect for game submission, (Knuckles is really good at that) but for winning a spriting competition I'd want entries to aim higher. There are a lot of skills not on display there. Pose, lighting, anatomy, Knuckles is good at those things, but you couldn't tell from this, they're all just vanilla here.

Honestly, yes, I personally do. However I will also defend the fact that since these are competitions that some people take quite seriously, I'd like them to be as fair as possible for everyone, and I don't think it's possible to argue that less entries per person is a way to do that easily, since not everyone has time to do that many sprites.
BTA suggested one entry only, but I said no on account of the fact I knew there would be resistance.

theres been a few of contests where one person takes two spots on the podium and yeah thats unfair, but still allowing 2 sprites per person wont stop that. im wondering if maybe in round 1, a persons sprites could go up agaisnt each other in the same bracket so that only 1 sprite per person makes it to the semis or finals 🤔 or just let the person's sprite with the most votes move on to the next round and automatically disqualify the 2nd and 3rd sprites from whatever other bracket thry were in 🤔

It's arguable in that way that the sprites that actually end up going to the finals (which could be as far down as 7th in their own bracket) didn't actually win against everything they went up against in that case. Thus I wouldn't feel right granting them "third place", for instance.

I'm sure there is a way to do it though, and I'd love to hear that rather than constant "😦"s from Blaquaza. 👀

Maybe way lower but consistent stakes could work. Like a 15/10/5. Only problem is some people can't receive funds for various reasons (age, location, tech).
