It's unfortunate when a pokemon is way weaker than what's available. I'm really stubborn about the pokemon I like and am drawn to and don't want to change what pokemon I'm using just because it's not the meta or the mon itself is just way weaker than average.

@cedar quest I know you said 15 challenge bonus mons per team is plenty, but may I suggest setting up a vote? Each team can vote for 5 Pokemon to be added to their list of Bonus mons (Not 5 lines, just 5 Pokemon. and if say.. Spheal is voted for, then Sealeo and Walrein come with it)
I think it would:
A. Let the teams discuss and strategize what Pokemon should be added to their bonus pools.
B. Help improve the variety of Pokemon we can sprite and keep things interesting.
C. Close the disparity gap of easy to sprite Pokemon between teams. (Ruby and Sapphire are basically in agreement that Emerald has WAY easier to sprite Pokemon)
D. Bring the number of bonus mons per team up to 20 which I think is just a nicer number :)
And E. Most importantly, I think it would be really fun letting the teams themselves determine just a few more Pokemon we can sprite for bonus points (and I can't stress enough a FEW, 5 new Pokemon per team I'd say is the limit)

There are members on both Team Ruby and Team Sapphire who are on board with the idea. And this isn't a joke suggestion, I legitimately think it would be cool and make things more interesting. If it's simply too late to just add more Pokemon to the bonuses that's perfectly understandable, but if it's possible without too much hassle again I think it would be really cool. Thank you!
(Bolded for clarity to anyone who misunderstands this suggestion, this is NOT about Pokemon being added to PIF!!! This is about adding Pokemon already in PIF to the list of mons that grant bonus points when sprited by their respective teams!!!)

Just to clarify on my point of disparity between easy to sprite pokemon, Skitty and Delcatty are incredibly simple to sprite for both head and body, meanwhile Linoone and Zigzagoon have incredibly high similarity for like no reason and so does Mightyena which is also just a very shaggy and particularly furry Pokemon that requires more complicated texture work to make it look good compared to the equivalents on Ruby and especially Emerald

Relicanth, Carvanha, and Seviper are all Pokemon with somewhat intricate color placements and patterns that aren't particularly easy to sprite while Emerald gets Cacnea, Spinda, and Jolteon. In all fairness however, Cacturne has the same similarity issues as Mightyena and the Zigzagoon line and I wouldn't say Tropius is easy to sprite in any sense of the word. Zangoose and Numel are also comparatively easy to sprite compared to their Sapphire counterparts with simple colors and patterns.
Not to mention fish in general like Relicanth, Carvanha, and I'd even say Sharpedo to an extent are just difficult to grasp and sprite well

Actually I wanna go through each bonus mon just to verify if this is truly a problem when taking into account EVERY pokemon. Sorry for the word salad up there
