The Kommo-o line has some interesting uses as a head fusion, as the scales and colors are quite beautiful, but as a body Pokémon it’s AWFUL in spriting.
Also, I’ve never been a fan of that line from a design or gameplay standpoint, so I truly don’t understand why it got so many votes.
||I will say I tend to have unique opinions of Pokémon compared to what’s considered “traditional” so my opinion may not matter, but I can usually make logical reasons for why I don’t like them. Usually. Haha||

Also to go along with what datorre said community polls are a different beast compared to judged contests. People tend to favor bigger, flashier sprites and quality is less a factor. Its a good sprite! Just didnt catch people’s eyes as much

make a sprite with the exact typing and body category of the first sprite you sent to Sprite gallery

for example: my first sprite is a sunflora/klinklang so the sprite i will sent should be a grass/metal fusion and the body part should be in the multiple bodies shape category

the shape category can be easily checked in a wiki, non-if are allowed and you can submit any sprite you made since october 1.

the entries will be show side-by side with your first sprite

as rain said, due to it being a public vote, big, flashy sprites tend to get more votes
That obviously doesn't mean the other ones are bad and uncreative or the big flashy ones are low-quality and undeserving
I mean, i was so amazed by the orange wool/leaf texture that i voted you, seeing you get eliminated so early def was a big surprise

exactly! at the end, the podiums are usually filled with really good sprites anyways, ofc community dont have the same "technicall" taste as the judges, the judges now are some of the most experient spriters of the server so ofc its pretty normal that they have some high criterias to decide the winners, but at the end convince the public r a really hard mission too imo, but being knocked on polls dont mean that u sprite is not decent, cuz it is not like u received a 0 from judges XD

i mean, at the end, if u have fun participating and u r happy with your sprite, is what matters at the end of the day

it was a fun little side thing to get some eevee lines that are all in the same style
