So me and my friend both shared our screen while we were playing, so that we can see the other fuck up xD. I made an excel table, where I wrote down all our encounters so that we remember which were linked to each other. That made it way easier for us as we had to restart a few times because of some little mistakes. We had a little extra rule that we have to battle each other after every gym fight.

Run 9 was a revisit to Expert Mode!
The last time I played, I selected a team with bloated BSTs; this time, I actually tried to be a little more strategic. This led to some fun choices, like a neat defensive core, the use of Aegislash for its bulk over Stance Change, a Speed Boost Baton Pass mon, and a Choice Scarfed Mold Breaker to deal with all those pesky abilities that expert fusions love. It was tough, but very satisfying when those strategies worked out. I remember a particularly exciting moment was deliberately preventing my Duskull from evolving while I waited for Magcargo so I could keep levitate for a particularly tricky enemy.

Rutger (Alakazam/Machamp): A bit of a glass cannon and a tad on the slow side but landing Dynamic Punches, Focus Blasts or Iron Tails is extremely satisfying.
Lumina (Clefable/Umbreon): Solid special attack (thanks to her modest nature), amazing bulk and sustainability in the form of Moonlight makes her one heck of a defensive monster.
Uranium (Magnezone/Weezing): Sky high physical defense, fantastic typing and immunity to Ground... This thing refuses to die.
Ignis (Charizard/Nidoking): My starter. Solid stats, amazing coverage... Crippling weakness to water aside, I couldn't have asked for a better starter.
Box (Azumarill/Furret): I thought that I'd be dropping this lil' fellow along the way but... How wrong I was, he stayed til the end and carried to boot.
Auspicious Maw (Togekiss/Aerodactyl) : My last addition to the team, this "Paradox Togekiss" is a fast mixed sweeper with Serene Grace... If it doesn't kill, it will flinch (gotta love those 50/50 )

Long time lurker first time playing was really fun dont know why it took me so long to play this game but I loved my team
MVP was Raikazam amazing fusion amazing stats great sweeper
Favourite fusion is my Slurpuff/Arcanine because Arcanine is my all time favourite pokemon and the second i seen this fusion i knew i had to add it to the team
also had a Carbink/Beedrill and a Pikachu/Paras for a long time who i loved also

i honestly really like the grass type, despite its flaws. so this was a fun run for me : )

in order, from top left to bottom right:

• death cap, grass/ground, breloom/garchomp
  • with a black belt in claw and technician equipped, force palm was strong. but really this things saving move was earthquake during the champ, against a steel/poison klinklang/arbok
• seraphim, fire/grass, ho-oh/lurantis
  • this thing was my ACE. i was constantly using it, it is an INCREDIBLE fusion. with contrary and v-create, i'm convinced nothing can stop it
• hurricane, electric/grass, ampharos/leafeon
  • one of my baaabiiess : ) this cutie was a monster. tail glow spam, then power gem, thunderbolt, and/or energy ball.
• parade, grass/fairy, vileplume/sylveon
  • anything but vile, this one. you know i had to run a pixilate hyper voice sylveon again, you just KNOW
• reaper, grass/water, sceptile/kabutops
  • fun fact, this one is the only reason this run even exists in the first place. made by my lovely friend @chilly stream, this team member was my starter and one of my best (THE best until seraphim came around). 154 attack + muscle band and equipped with leaf blade, x-scissor, crab hammer, and throat chop. damn.
• bishop, grass/steel, venusaur/bisharp
  • the least used, but still, very pretty sprite : ) not much to say about this one

another really fun type to work around tbh. but also, very strong in general

• starfire, bug/fire, volcarona/entei
  • silver powder and a volcarona, whats not to love? surprisingly, didnt do anything during the e4. whoops
• prehistoric, fire/rock, ho-oh/rampardos
  • i broke my 1 legendary fusion rule this run because both fusions were way too cool. THIS one actually did way more though, with rocky helmet and fly and earthquake, etc etc. good fusion amazing sprite tyvm
• sorcerer, psychic/fire, espeon/delphox
  • now, fun fact, psychic is actually a type i avoid. i like the typing fine, its just that typically the type has so many weaknesses that i can't. but when i use psychic types its actually not that bad lol. calm mind + psychic killed btw
• angel, water/fire, milotic/ninetales
  • my starter, im pretty sure (i started this one a WHILE ago.) just a really good mon here. flamethrower and surf were the MVPs of this ones moveset
• dash, rock/fire (again), lycanroc night/rapidash
  • you know i had to do a sadfroggy sprite. i wish i gave this ones moveset a little more love but it is what it is. either way, resident bird killer and resident hard rock 161 atk 138 spd STAB rock slider :P
• seraphim, fairy/fire, togekiss/typhlosion
  • seraphim is a good name dont judge me. anyway i had this one since literally viridan forest, im pretty sure. its been my back pocket killer for the whole run. i KNOW this thing will walk out alive. i gave it a life orb and with serene grace, moonblast/air slash/aura sphere/flamethrower is a busted moveset

My girlfriend and I just finished our 'linked' run. We didn't have permadeath, but we did have to use the same nicknamed pokemon on each team, still only did one catch per route and across both teams each primary type could only be used once. Made for some interesting teambuilding challenges, maybe next time we will try permadeath.
