Notte (Honchkrow/Umbreon) was my starter and was fairly useful through the whole game
Nat (Umbreon/Whimsicott) Probably the MVP of the run with prankster + leech seed, stun spore, moonlight, tailwind
Yoru (Umbreon/Venusaur) Very helpful for dealing with fairy types and was pretty tanky
Noit (Charizard/Umbreon) Late addition to the team as I didn't quite know what I wanted the 6th member to be, but did very well
Nýx (Umbreon/Gardevoir) It was decent, not much to say
Nacht (Umbreon/Machoke) was fairly strong early game and still carried it's weight later, but until I had given it eviolite it died easily

Not sure how much I can attribute my struggle to being out of practice (I took time off to work on the autogens that needed spriting - the Haxorus/Mr Mime and https://discord.com/channels/302153478556352513/1299988832292306984 (still in progress) - and have been playing Omori to catch up with my friends). Still! I managed it after quitting the E4 the first time. Bruno and the Champion were a breeze, but Agatha (as you can probably imagine) was a pain and a half. For those who missed it, none of these psychic types can be obtained before Brock (except oricorio from the secret garden, go ahead and shame me for not getting that) which lead to a debatably funny bit about forgetting the types of certain pokemon and being dissapointed when they weren't psychic type.

So I dunno if I'm out of practice or just bad at team building, but I spent a lot of time spamming potions during this post-Johto E4 challenge
tried to use the 'mons I didn't use for the post-Kanto E4, but had to swap in Helen (sylveon/altaria) and Imogen (Haxorus/Mr Mime) for being too damn good not to use. Pixilate Hyper Voice ftw. Also I got to use Soundproof against Necroetta, so that was a fun time.
Poor Queen Margaret (Rhyperior/Mawile) existed only to get bodied.
Berowne (Octillery/Klefki) and his Soak strats positively shone during Agatha's fight, and didn't prove too shabby against Lance and the Champion either.

Heralding her arrival, when she arrives...the queen herself....

Now for the judgment of the team proper:

• Zurvan (Beedrill/Haxorus) is the best. Just unironically. Big-ass Attack, powerful setup times with Dragon Dance, speed demon of the team, yes it's got a good amount of type weaknesses, but they're surprisingly manageable enough, especially considering a lot of Attacks doesn't dent him too much. Bug/Dragon is just a ridiculously sick typing, and I wish nothing but the best for Zurvan and his many conquers on the Terran human world.
• Stukov (Hydreigon/Beedrill) is second best. Dark/Poison with Levitate, unsurprisingly, goes super hard. No weaknesses, okayish to decent defensive stats, Thunder Wave for that stopping power, Work Up for that buff (WHY ISN'T CALM MIND ACCESSIBLE AUUUGHHHH). Yeah he's good, carried the Beedrill part way better than expected too. Only wish he got more coverage, but it is what it is. At least Dark is roughly almost equal to Ghost in terms of neutral hitting.
• Kraith (Beedrill/Klinklang) is crazy. Aesthetically crazy (metal beehive with wings working like machine cogs like damn that's sick nasty), actually crazy gameplay wise (Focus Energy + Sniper + Wild Charge/Attack Order/Gear Grind: oh everything crits baybee). Only downside is that this thing just can't survive Fire at all lol (expected), but it is also a lot frailer than the Steel typing it gets might suggest. I'd say maybe he's third to fourth in terms of power level...and speaking of that other third/fourth spot...
• Niadra (Togekiss/Beedrill) is good. Not much to say. Actually got a good amount of coverage too, unlike some other Pokemons. Serene Grace and Nasty Plot + Moonblast/Flamethrower/Sludge Bomb goes super hard, near guaranteed poison and decent headway for burn is good too. She would share the third/fourth spot with Kraith.
• Zagara (Milotic/Beedrill) is...low-performance. I don't know, I thought it sounds cooler when I'm thinking "yeah tanky Beedrill with Defend/Heal Order and STABs could be good!" But then... (cnt. next)

• Yeah turns out the Beedrill part really stinks the Defense stats down. Not Sp.Def, Physical Def. Yeah she got way lower defenses than Zurvan at 93! That's tragic. And yeah the fantasy doesn't really hit great when it does well. Relying on Surf and Ice Beam for coverage is okay-ish at least. Not a lot to expound on.
• Kerrigan (Beedrill/Garchomp) however....yeesh. That's the real disappointment/letdown Pokemon. Best thing it got is that it can learn Drill Run early on before getting replaced by Earthquake, but then...yeah, not a lot left. I guess it has Stealth Rock for setups? Which is obviously not what its for but like...there's just not a lot. Guess at least it able to learn Brick Break is decent! And all that after I named her after the literal antagonist queen of the game series I named these guys on, too. Bug/Ground, turns out, kinda stinks defensively. Arguably worse than Bug/Dragon. A lot frailer than the Defensive stats might suggest. Yeah, just a letdown all around.

Less arduous than I feared! I did put in a lot of effort deciding on secondary types and abilities this run, though. Focused on speed and attack to take advantage of the glass cannon type here
here we have:

• (Walt) Whitman, the chandelure/lapras with Flash Fire and Safeguard. Unfortunately slow, but doesn't die super-easy.
• (Algernon) Swinburne, the hitmonchan/aurorus with Refrigerate Fake Out. Slower than I would have liked, and lagged nearer to the end, but Fake Out is worth its weight in gold.
• (Ernest) Hemingway, the delibird/slaking. ridiculously fast, monstrous attack, and best of all - has Snow Warning. Always in my van.
• (Edgar Allan) Poe, the glalie/raichu. Fragile, but Ice Body is wonderful on a Hail team and Freeze-Dry and Zing Zap are helpful against Water enemies. Got bodied a lot, but c'est la vie.
• Sappho, the krookodile/weavile. Struggled to figure out a good fusion for weavile because I wanted something amazing, since I think weavile is has the highest Atk and Spd of the Ice types. Had Moxie as her ability and Dig's semi-invulnerability helped let her take advantage of that.
• Finally (Langston) Hughes, Glaceon/Arcanine with Flash Fire. Helpful against the riskier Fire enemies. Slow, but knows both Heat Wave and Blizzard, and served as a back-up Hail setter in case Hemingway ever got offed.
  as for why poets? Because of A Song of Ice and Fire, naturally. Plus there's a Robert Frost poem "Fire and Ice" (Frost himself stayed in the box this E4. he's a mamoswine/pyukumuku, and I'm gonna need to make him a sprite if he's gonna be ready for a HoF glamour shot.)

funny story about the jolteon/zapdos actually. i thought that the pokemon would be ordered like, first slot in party starts in far left. which woulda meant i had to start the championship fight with a bug/grass lead (tangrowth/pinsir) so it'd be on the far left of the screenshot like i wanted it. and i knew the rival was gonna lead a flying type, so i chose jolt/zapdos for matching the asthetic of the team and being a fast electric type to support tansir. but then when i beat my rival the mons were ordered totally differently than i thought. so i redid the fight knowing the order i needed and doing all that work to catch a zapdos and an eevee ended up being pointless 💀

There are only 11 non-Legendary Ice lines in the game so far, so I figured I'd try the other set. Honestly? I kicked the difficulty up to Hard after Bruno and still the most tricky part was positioning
the team this time:

• (Sylvia) Plath, the froslass/starmie. turning Spotlight onto a Flash Fire 'mon turned Morty's gym from hopeless to something I could clear with no losses. Unfortunately existed to get bodied first turn in the E4 each time, but Blizzard in a Hailstorm is always worth it. Very few were able to outspeed her. (this sprite is also an in-progress one I'd like feedback on, as the original was an autogen: #1304328124875669514 )
• (Robert) Frost, the mamoswine/pyukumuku. Slow, but tanky (even for an Ice type). Another Blizzard user, but Soak continues to be very funny against Agatha, and Gastro Acid had its uses. (another WIP sprite. feedback here? #1303895567906242590)
• (William) McGonagall, the delibird/dusknoir. This is the first sprite of mine I was able to use that was already in-game, rather than one I made to replace an autogen I encountered. Another Hail setter, but unfortunately slower than Hemingway from the A-Team, so I often was not able to get off Aurora Veils in time or before my team got hit. But I got to use the joke, so it's good. (Another joke: William McGonagall is considered one of the worst poets of all time)
• (Allen) Ginsberg, the toxapex/cloyster. Why the fuck is the defense so high. 338 at Lv81. Add in Skill Link and Black Sludge and we have an underrated tank. That's Ice.
• (Audre) Lorde, the klinklang/dewgong. Pretty. Pretty pretty pretty. Wilts under Fire, but Steel typing has its advantages. Ice Body's healing was a welcome bonus.
• (Emily) Dickinson, the jynx/ninjask. I wanted the Speed Boost, what can I say. Another Blizzard user, and survived way longer than Plath for whatever reason. Less easy to gang up on after the first turn? Aurora Veil protection? 🤷

Easy: because of the exp share effect
Debug: cant be bothered to grind legendaries so wanted masterballs, hence no legendaries in team

3 of those didn't even reach lv50 because I was planning to run E4 for exp farm but happened to get through it by chance, used 1 max revive and 1 max elixir
Blastoise-magmortar did 98% of the work, it's amazing how much I love this combo and absolutely adore the sprite

glalie/sceptile is also something to be "kinda" feared of, it did the job done and was a crazy glass cannon. And also cool looking sprite!

aegislash/machamp amazing sprite, amazing stats, amazing everything. This and azumaking carried me through this run

trevenant/dusknoir pretty decent although only started to get good later in the game, clutched in the final e4 fight

palossand/galvantula, kind of just threw it in because i needed a 6th mon on my team, still super good and also came in clutch in the e4 fight.

Hate to be a party pooper. But it’s clear you did not get the game from us. Likely the site that has already been reported to have malicious software in their version, and clearly now has the beta on it too based on this HoF pic.
I recommend you delete everything (don’t worry, your files will not be touched) and run a virus scanner.
Then if you really want the beta, go to #roles to get the beta tester role, and then go to #beta-version-download to get it official and clear of any bad coding.
Only downside is you won’t be able to use Debug, but that too seems to have been hacked in as you can’t get it on a first run without catching one of every unfused mon and talking to the dev in Celadon.

I failed my first E4 at the champion by being underleveled and swapped out two of my team at the rematch for the chandelure/armaldo with Flash Fire Flame Burst and the Parasect/Whimsicott with Prankster Spore, alas. In addition to those:

• ledian/qwilfish (give feedback to my custom sprite here, please: #1306355056081109002 ) was thankfully fast enough to get off a few team protection moves
• volcarona/flygon was, to no one's surprise, a staple for strong flinch-inducing Rock Slides.
• heracross/bisharp with Defiant was damn good once it got Fury Cutter going, though it did falter at the late game
• and my new best friend, shuckle/ursaring with Contrary, making Intimidate 'mons a boon. Also gave him Hammer Arm and Superpower. Takes a bit to get going, but think of it as Rollout with more flexibility
  time for Johto, and hopefully to sprite my starter (a scolipede/krookorok, which has no custom yet?)

HOF #8; First time playing in the new beta, really loving the new pokemon.
Omastar + Mr Mime made a lot of the encounters really easy with Shell Smash Setup. All other 'mons also pulled their weight extremly well - especially Greninja + Noivern, Fast Protean attackers are always amazing.

Also had extreme shiny luck, got a shiny Wimpod (Seen here, fused with Carbink) and, before having the second to last rival fight, a shiny rattata.
