Believe it or not, the fossil freaks of nature are referencing how archaeology was born in the UK! And when archaeology was first starting up there, a lot of inaccuracies with fossils were being made. Two good examples for this would be how they mistaken Iguanadon to have a body structure similar to a actual Iguana (even though these dinosaurs were very heavy and about the size of elephant if I remember right), and how it was once widely accepted that bipedal dinosaurs like the mighty T. Rex dragged its tail across the ground as it walked or ran (for which there were no tracks near actual fossilized footprints for these beast that would indicate this). Really interesting background for this gen's new fossil Pokemon, right?
