Meet the family, we have Waffle, the normal Tinkaton that carried me through the whole game. She's also got a personality mark.

Pancake, the shiny Tinkaton who I got after 6+ total hours of Shiny Hunting. She also has the privilege of being in a Master Ball.

Toast, the shiny Tinkatuff I stumbled upon randomly after I fell from a cliff (both knees broke on impact). The best part about this is that she also has a personality mark. Apparently she loves collecting things which is fitting for a Tinkatuff.

And last but not least, Crumpet, the shiny Tinkatink I've caught in a Love Ball, I found her just roaming around some ruins whilst I was farming Gimmighoul Coins.

I did say nearly all mons have 4 Abilities but I skipped a few that wouldn't be useful in pvp or is negligible, or otherwise some original ones that would be finicky and hard to explain. And all type Abilities that increase offense when low on health just became a 20% boost for Moves of that type, then 50% boost when low health.

You gotta spend the time thinking of what pokemon you want that you think might be good and then thinking about what you want for IVs and egg moves first and then hatch those pokemon and then go catch the rest or transfer the rest. For pokemon that you want an egg move on you can also use the Mirror herb method for getting them onto your pokemon for like if you want to use a shiny you already have but want an egg move. All in all there is a decent amount of thinking and planning to do. Mints, ability capsules/patches, mirror herbs, bottle caps and ev berries and all really good items to collect.

context being that my mod makes fights 40% harder so I was up against level 80s

I'm doing a monotype ice playthrough, so this was rough. My answer to steel types was usually EQ, but poppy had 2 pokemon that were immune, bronzong and corviknight

my issue was that snow kept ending too soon for cetitan to sweep through, especially since she had corviknight and bronzong, 2 pokemon that were immune to ground type moves. I could only 2HKO them with Ice Spinner/Superpower

I also needed to use spikes to break magnezone's sturdy

so the key ended up being toss out cetitan first thing, tera to avoid death from a steel type attack, and then EQ twice to take down the elephant, and from there, I had to kill off avalugg as a sacrifice to not have to swap into one of my setters
after that, it was mostly just cleanup - ice spinner x2 took down corviknight, ice spinner + superpower took down bronzong, and then 2 EQs on magnezone and tinkaton each

• a turn spent to use a max potion to avoid death from the fact that corviknight and bronzong each get 1 turn to attack cetitan since I need to 2HKO them

• a turn to use belly drum initially

which adds up to exactly 8 turns, which was the duration of Icy Rock empowered Snow Warning

just barely enough to sweep through after dealing with the elephant initially
I unfortunately had to blow all 3 rare candies to bring cetitan up to 59 to get the last bit of attack necessary

and there's TWO more fights just as stressful

ironically, poppy was the hardest. I sort of breezed through larry and dragon guy. Larry made me restart once or twice bc tropius knew sunny day and could stop my slush rush cetitan. Dragon guy was one try, while poppy took at least 20.

the point is to make it so I can't just breeze through and actually make the fights interesting

they often outspeed me, and take a lot less damage and deal a lot more damage

so I need to actively plan and use strategy to win

instead of just bulldozing through with supereffective moves

for example, bronzong and corviknight were both immune to ground type moves, so I couldn't just 1HKO them due to the level difference, which meant I needed to make compromises elsewhere if I wanted to keep slush rush active so I could actually outspeed them and not just lose to iron head

since I'd need 2 turns for each of them in the snow

a level 5 or level 12 is only going to be level 7 or level 16 or so
