Well, the link between all of them is what could be considered powerful in different times. In the past, armies and war were what brought power to a country, which is why I based Heaturion on Ancient Roman culture. It starts off as a civilian, with the back hooves and metal around its stomach referencing Ancient Roman civilian fashion. Bovidator is based on Gladiators as I felt they were a step up from civilians with a lot of its design elements feeding into that, such as the armour on its body, the shield and the head shape. Especially with its horns being used in combat a lot, I thought it'd be neat to make them glow red hot and thought it'd also be neat to add red hot patterns on the armour too much like how the armour in Ancient Roman civilization was like. The final evolution is based on a centurion with its armour and headgear inspired by the armour worn. The tail is shaped like a spear as that's what was used in battle by centurions. The patterns are also inspired by what patterns I was able to see on armour from the time. The horns are also bigger as goats with bigger horns tend to do better in the wild and I also wanted to get the feeling of power with the final evolution.

I thought about what animal would be smart and dolphins were the first thing that popped into my head. The first form is based on a stereotypical nerd, with the glasses pattern around its eyes and the tie pattern on its stomach. Delphinuate is based on a University graduate, with it having watery clothes based on what a university graduate would wear. The watery hair on its head has a mortar board tassel on it. I thought it'd be cool to show it's growing more powerful to give it the ability to make shapes using its psychic powers out of water. The final evolution is based on a scientist, with the water around it being based on what a stereotypical scientist would wear (a lab coat). Its fins are also shared like the gloves you'd see on them. It's psychic abilities have grown so much that it is able to use it to make words out of water in the shape of unown. It also gains a 3rd eye to reference it's psychic abilities.

The grass starter is based on what may be considered powerful in the future. Technology might be something that drives humanity's success or humans could go into extinction, which would make plants take over. That was the basis behind the grass line. I thought that solar power would be a neat idea to tackle and, with certain lizards basking in the sun, I felt the link worked well and would also fit an electric typing.
Vinink is based on a skink. It also has a vine running along its back with buds on top of its head. I wanted the colours to be very natural but also have a slight unnatural feel to them, hence the blue in it. The blue also references its future electric typing. I also made the legs be made from wood or something similar as some lizards can regrow their limbs when removed.
Hederatile is based on an iguana as I felt it'd be a natural step up. With it gaining more control over its solar power, it's able to light up its body. The vine on its back is starting to grow larger and take over its tail, referencing the takeover of plants on buildings. Iguanas are also an invasive species and can cause damage to infastructure in the US I believe from what I read and I felt that it links well to the plant ivy, as it is shown on buildings. The patterns on the leaves reference this.
The final form was based on the idea behind the ability, basking to gain power as I explained before. The leaves are more shaped like ivy to reference the plant taking over buildings. It's still based on an iguana as iguana's bask in the sun but it also has elements from a prehistoric creature (can't remember the name for the life of me). I gave it two forms to reference it's solar power, with things being charged lighting up.

This line is a fire cow line keeping up with the zodiac pattern fire types have been taking. The line is based off the story of the Javanese bull as well as the cow diety apis.
My region is based off of Indonesia and will be a series of sky islands where magic is super present. Like magic wakanda. My starter line theme is misunderstandings. The theme for this one is misunderstanding of intelligence.
Pyris-The Firestarter Pokémon
Pyris are often seen staring at others intently, unknowingly setting the deep forests they live in alight with the bright flame on their head. One has never been seen without the flame.
Pyris are said to be able to heat their horns up enough to melt steel. They have been noticed to get hotter during its staring sessions
Apirull- The Fire Spreader Pokémon
Apirull can often be seen snapping Pyris out of their starting phases, and carrying them out of sight into the deep forest. Their flame somehow doesn't seem to light things aflame.
It is said that Apirull helped humans on the islands discover fire, and as such they labeled fire after the mark on its head. These Pokémon are always seen with other fire types.

I don't like that there's so many variants for one Pokémon. You could even swap them out for the myriad of other 3-stage Grass-types like Vileplume, Roserade, Jumpluff, Sewaddle and Victreebel or something. 🙂
