I'm still holding to the idea that Frieza's species are reptilian, so rather than them being breasts the way humans are, they're more like pure fat deposits (though I should try looking into what the muscles under them look like in case I decide to not use them). Since I'm bad at art it's hard to get across that rather than full breasts, they're just supposed to be a little more prominent than it is on the males (like how female hips are wider)

Right, they do seem to hatch with the skull. Which is weird for a pokemon that suppositivly took the skull of it's mother.
Plot twist, it's actually the foetus that killed the mother, then rip the skull from the inside, put it on and develop a shell egg around it and go out of the mother, waiting for the hatch. While it was waiting, a blissey find the egg and cared for it

Popular theory on the internet say that the "mother" might be a kangaskhan. And therefor have a dino-ish skull make sens. It doesn't not evolve in kangashan anymore though after that tragedy

well, there is multiple hint of that. first the shape of cubone does look alike the baby in kangaskhan poche
secondly, in sun and moon. when you do the SOS thing. sometime a kangaskan do came to help the cubone
like if they are link somehow
also I found that illustration that could fit the theory as well
like if cubone was already an evolution of the baby kangaskhan
of cours the baby and male kangaskhan arn't officialy in the game so that is not accurate

Well, glalie doesn't look like anything like his ghost/ice female counterpart. so a paralelle evolution that is different isn't that hard to imagine. And having flesh on the head hide the skull pretty well so you could have something similar to that inside. (I admit, the horn are a bit off >.>)

Another theory I saw is that a female marowak gave her her exo-skeletton skull (taking it off do break it a little) as a protection for her child and a new one grow after that for her.
That way it is really the mother's skull but she isn't necessary dead. After all, the pokedex entry only say that his mother is now dead. not that the skull was taken on her corpse.
