anyone that has bad performance in IF want to try something? open the game, open task manager and click the details tab. right click Game.exe and "set affinity", then deselect all cores except one.
my game was running decently already, so i dont see much difference. but playing on large window size, which was slightly laggy for me, since the last update that added pkmn, has become a bit smoother.
i think it could be pretty nice for people who get the "script is taking too long" error message, that stuff can break your save i think, might be the reason why wondertrading sometimes breaks saves

If you find a sprite you like, click on it, then right click, and hit "Save Image Preview." Save it to the desktop with the same name it was already given. Then, open up the folder that has the game in it, open the "Graphics" folder, and open the "Custom Battlers" folder. Drag the sprite in there, and you should have the new sprite there.

I used to get the same exact problem. Go to where you downloaded the game, and there should be a patch. Downloading the patch should fix the problem, as it did for me.

Hello, I have the Problem that everytime I defeat Giovanni in Saffron City I get this Error Message. I don't know why this occurs. so I just defeated the elite four and the champion, but just after I get the option to save the game, it tells me that the script is taking too long and the game will restart, which results in me getting a "??????????" message. The game then crashes.
I already tried redownloading the game without the patch and setting the window size to small but nothing worked. The game just crashes upon me getting teleported back to the players house and fading back in.
I never had any problems up to that point and really enjoyed it so far.

Help. Tried the Bicycle Race quest and my game is broken now. Time ran out and the timer in the corner didn’t disappear. Can’t talk to the cyclist NPC anymore and also can’t leave the route without using Fly.

It crashed and each time I started the game, I was asked if I wanted to save the game, a few seconds black screen and it said “the script is taking too long”.
Tried it again today and it doesn’t even start. “Save file is corrupted”. 57 hours of progress gone if the backup save file I made around 37 hours works neither... -_-

there's no special differences between any of them. "1.4" is a Bulbasaur/Charmander someone did, and "1.4a" is a Bulbasaur/Charmander somebody else did. The game will read whichever one has the filename "1.4", so if you like 1.4a better, delete the first one, rename 1.4a to 1.4, then drop it into Graphics\CustomBattlers

Hello, I was wondering if anyone may be able to fix a corrupted save file I had. (Please refrain from judgement or yelling at me about what I did)
I was trying to change my Scizor x Dialga fusion's ability from Pressure to Technician and opened my game's save data with note pad and changed a value. At first this corrupted my save and I replaced the file I modified with an unmodified save file and it is still corrupted. Is there anything I can do or is there anyone that can fix my save?

You made a backup before modifying it, but it got corrupted as well, even though you didn't mess with it? That's weird
Maybe the modified save messed with the game files upon loading, you could try redownloading the game

Also you shouldn't edit with notpad. not because it's bad or whatever, but because the file is written with marshall ruby format (or some name along those line), meaning it's mean to be read by the game in a very specific way. editing it in any way could break the all format all together (it can work on some part of the file but I wouldn't risk it). Additionaly, the simple fact to save the file might have add stuff to it (windows like to represent end of line with symboles called crlf. but some software expect only the cr symbole. not sure it matter for rpg maker xp or not.)
try Stanley solution, maybe the modification of your save broke your game somehow (not sure how it's even possible but maybe..) redownload it and re-try with a unmodified save again

After I beat the elite four I get a ?????????? message. It doesn't go to the credits and I'm stuck on a black screen. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi all ! I have issues with my keyboard. I can move, run and interract but I can't speed up the game with CTRL and I can't open the menu to fuse pokemon and manage my team. Did I miss something ?
