• If you're on or above 6.6.0 double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.

Fixing Randomized Trainers Always Staying the Same Type

1. Must be on 6.4.6+ for this to work. If you aren't on 6.4.6+, update your game and reshuffle your settings. If you don't know how to reshuffle, type: ?tag reshuffle

2. You need to go to the Pokémon center, talk to help man and select fix game. Must be done AFTER updating on 6.4.6+

3. You need to enter any gym and exit. Weird I know, but the dev put in a fix for that bug at entrances to gyms.

Hey @grand spire! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

Anyone else feel like the XP was uh... "broken" this last patch? Started out another run and it takes about 5-6 trainer battles to get to the level cap for the next gym. Usually you have to do at least 10-15 re-battles after battling all of the trainers in an area.

here is something you can do with the current stuff in the spritepack as a bandaid fix while I talk to other staff.

• open the full spritepack.
• install them as the initial instructions suggested.
• make sure to do it for both "custombattlers" and basesprites" like the guide suggests.
• then head into the game - it will take a while for the game to process them

when inside, head in until the nearest pokecenter, talk to the man in black and reset sprite-cache and alt-sprite selection.
this "should" fix it for fusions, bases will likely still need you to select their sprite inside the pokedex when you see one for the first time.

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not download, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".

It's a problem with the version itself - even the alt download didn't work
Ymirbot helped me through it earlier
I had followed every guide that was given to me.
I still had problems loading sprites.
I then imported the full sprite pack via #spritepack-releases , and am going through the process of manually setting the sprites for base mons - I'll have to do this for every base mon I encounter

I don't know why, myself - but even the performance mode runs choppily

I can play Minecraft modpacks with 300,000+ individual recipes at a consistent 45FPS with no issues - but 210k pokemon sprites? my PC doesn't seem to want to handle it.

Yeah, I was going through this with Ymir & Mordrid before the weekend. It seems to be an issue that has developed by changing how the game handles sprite from individual images to spritesheets. Obviously the latter is better for any device since >200k images are an absolute menace to process, but the manual sprite download still uses the former system and that generates most of these issues.

The solution is to either leave auto download on and suffer the semi-frequent gameplay interruptions, or to use the alt download and manually set the sprites after initial encounters, but you've already got that info (I can't read, apparently)

Hello, I just updated from 6.7.1 to 6.7.2 from the launcher and now my game does not boot up. I did notice that it said when the command box opened that it could not read a file but then the patching went through without issue.

Your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not download, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps to fix:

1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF
   Note: If you are on Expert Mode, you can go to the help man and switch back to Classic rather than turning off random trainers.

Onedrive causes many issues in and out of the game. If you see a status column in your game folder or your path has onedrive, that means your game folder is synching to OneDrive and will cause many issues.

To Fix:

1. Move your InfiniteFusion folder to your C:\Users\Your Name\Downloads folder
2. Open the .git folder (use screenshot below if you don't see it) and delete the file named shallow.lock
3. Rerun INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat afterwards to redownload any files OneDrive deleted.

reinstalling shouldn't have overwritten your saves since to my knowledge that isn't how that works

wine stashes saves in roaming appdata, which unless you manually delete the save, won't get touched

both guides go over the location of your save data, double check if the saves are still there

if they are, but the game isn't seeing them, that means they are corrupted

you'd need to find the backup saves made [assuming you have autosave turned on] and use one of those as a replacement

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

NOTE: If you are offline and cannot play the game online, download the newest spritepack from #spritepack-releases (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID)

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not download, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".
Step 5. If that did not fix it, delete any game or launcher folders and do a full reinstall.
Step 6. After reinstalling, repeat step 4.

Update: I reset my GPU settings to default. Idk what did it, but it works fine now.

I think the last time I messed with my GPU settings, I turned off all that DLSS/framegen crap, and set the power management to consistent performance

Now I have to open a save and exit to the title to save my options

I downloaded the sprites pack, copied all the files in the custombattler and base sprite folders to the import one, but none of the sprites went to the designated place with the sprite maker name underneath them. So I ended up catching a bunch of question marks, then had to manually switched them on the Pokedex. What did I do wrong?

Why does my game keep crashing wheni i make a randomizer

Hey @stable fossil! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.
