Hi. I was wondering: can you re-map controls using a PS4 controller? I'm trying to set up playing the game with aforementioned controllers, but want to remap the speed up button as I don't know what Pad LB even is. However, the only buttons it will let me map it to are the back L2/R2 triggers, and I'd like to map them to the L1/R1 triggers, as I have tiny hands and pressing the back triggers for extended periods of time causes me hand pains. But it won't let me map it to there

Hmmm. Even with that I can't seem to bind things the way I want. I've successfully managed to map the speedup to my L1 button but R1 isn't working despite being bound to a key that turns on speedup. Additionally, even though I've bound the options and square buttons to X and escape, they won't open the menu. Only O will, despite me not having O bound to anything that should do that

Any idea why? Is it trying to use the default controller controls associated with the game? Is there a way I can disable those?

I'm still trying to figure out why I can't re-bind the menu button though. I want to open it with square instead of the default O. However, if I don't remove the Pad B bind from the in-game settings, it still opens using O. And if I remove that it won't open at all, even though I've bound the square button to X, which is supposed to open the menu. Any idea why?

Hey @balmy path! If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on YOUR computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the hundred of thousands of sprites you imported.

Git has locked your game folder from updating. To fix:

1. Open your game folder.
2. Enable the setting to view hidden files. How to do that
3. Delete the .git folder you will see in your folder now
4. Delete your Data folder (This will reset your game data, but it will keep your save data)
5. Update Again by double clicking on INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat
6. Double click Game to open the game.

So yesterday I put my pc in sleep mode with the game open so i could hatch some eggs in the spa while at work. and when i got home i noticed that the game was really laggy. thinking nothing of it i saved the game and closed it. after restarting my pc and booting up the game my save file is no longer there. I looked in the safefile folder and it looked like my save was still there, but the game will not read it. Is my save file corrupted? is there any way to get my 90+hours back?

Game Backup

Use this link if the installers go down (GitHub issues), don't know if your files are authentic, or have weird issues like missing background textures. These files 100% work.

Steps:

1. Delete your current game folder you have (this won't delete the save).
2. Download the game from: HERE.
3. Extract it into a new folder but make sure to leave it in your Downloads folder to avoid other issues (OneDrive).
4. Open Game.exe from it (not game-preloaded).

This will make sure you have fresh game data and also the correct files. If you are still having issues, this means your issue is 100% an issue with your computer.

wel, that is more an issue of your pc ... last option is setting up preloaded if you did everythign before .. most important having the game in your downloads folder

How will I know when to update the game and the custom sprite

Hey @sharp mango! Do you need to install sprites? No. The game by default install sprites as you encounter Pokemon over the internet. No need to install anything.

Why do we have sprite packs? If you have unstable internet, you can use the sprite packs to install them manually using this Guide.

Hey @sharp mango! If you are on version 5.3.1.2 and higher, follow the info below. If you are on a version lower or don't see the files, you will need to reinstall the game in a new folder using our guides (this doesn't delete your save): [HERE](#tech-support message)

Lightweight Installer Update:

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click 'INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat'

App Installer Update:

1. Open the App
2. Click Installation Menu -> Update Game -> Click Update

Both options will update the game files for you. If it didn't, rerun the update and wait for it to finish. Take and share a screenshot of the window to #tech-support

Just did a reinstall on my android (Google Pixel 8 pro) to try and get this to work but now when I click new game it's just a black screen. I followed the instructions perfectly. Any ideas?

Hey @slender marsh! If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on YOUR computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the hundred of thousands of sprites you imported.

How to fix ? mark or Invisible sprites

Both are issues with your internet. The game requires you to be connected to internet and on the latest version to get sprites properly:

• HotSpot/Mobile Data doesn't count.

How to Reset your Sprite Pull:

1. Open your menu in game and select Options.
2. Go to the option named Download Spritesand turn it OFF.
3. Leave the menu by pressing Enter on Confirm at the bottom or pressing B (if you don't, this won't work).
4. Open options again and turn Download Sprites back ON.
5. Save your game and close it. Reopen the game and your sprites should appear.

IF this doesn't work, you need to install the custom sprites manually because your internet is not downloading them: Guide to Install Sprites

I'm playing on Android using the joiplay with RPG maker. I have everything set up and can start the game. When the game is running and I start a new character after I confirm my name age and colouring the game just stops. The music is still running which makes me think it's not frozen but it's my first time trying this out and I'm not sure what I've done wrong
