Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to setup the preloaded version of the game for faster load times, and I keep getting this error when opening the Game-preloaded.exe file. I've enabled preloaded mode and selected the right installation files, installed the preloaded sprites and custom sprites, so I don't know what to do.

I could be missing something blatantly obvious, so if I'm asking a stupid question please let me know, thanks.

Hey @storm shore! Do you need to install sprites? No. The game by default install sprites as you encounter Pokemon over the internet. No need to install anything.

Why do we have sprite packs? If you have unstable internet, you can use the sprite packs to install them manually using this Guide.

and you can press down on that file to 'share' it

and you should share it to something you trust or you can send it to someone in discord dms if you're so inclined for example

oh you're sharing the file directly and uploading it to somewhere else

it's why when you delete the false game you have it'd delete your save file as well

so when you download the correct game and grab your shared save file by redownloading it, you can move it right into the folder and continue it properly

the only thing you have to do is launch the game once so it makes the required files

Old data in your Game folder is crashing or causing issues with your game. To fix:

Lightweight Installer:

1. Open your Game Folder
2. Delete your Data folder (This will not delete your saved data)
3. Double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat

App Installer:

1. Open the App -> Click Settings -> Click Open Game Folder
2. Delete your Data folder (This will not delete your saved data)
3. Go back to the App -> Installation Menu -> Update Game

Afterwards, reopen the game.

Please be patient until the next larger update where you can customize your trainer further since only 3 outfits are available at the moment. The old way of changing custom player sprites will not work anymore.

i assume you installed on your desktop, which is part of the main drive, and it doesnt have permission issues there .. any other drive may cause error cause of those permissions

If you are having sudden performance issues out of nowhere, restart your computer (no joke). Don’t shut down the computer as it just puts it to sleep. Use the restart option to free up processes on your computer.

You are not doing anything wrong, just that specific version of the app has a bug that wont update

Try this:

brew uninstall --force wine-stable

brew install --cask --no-quarantine wine-stable

Then when you open Game.exe again, it will ask permissions again. Select Allow on all the prompts and try again

could be you were using a fake version of the game and when you updated to the real version and latest version, the game doesnt know what species/id your pokemon are so it changed them to eggs

Any new game update, you need to rerandomize the settings you have enabled.

If you have only pokemon randomized, you need to Reshuffle Wild Pokemon

This is done in the Pokemon Center -> Update Man (guy in black suit) -> Click Advanced Settings -> You will see the Reshuffle options

This will fix the issue going forward, but sprites already messed up you might have to fix yourself from the Pokedex.

Hello everyone, I was wondering if someone could possibly help me fix my game as I've been playing for a few hours on a new save but suddenly ran into this error when I encountered a trainer inside of Rock Tunnel, now I get this error every time I try and launch the game. I'm playing on Steam Deck by the way and didn't have this issue before on a different save that was around Koga.

yeah so that means your SD card isn't giving permission to the game to access its own files

surprised it even works, steam deck gets a lot of issues running this game on SD card and performs worse on sd card as well

you could run a command in that folder if you want to give it permissions

just depends if you know how to use the konsole

Yes, so what you would have to do is move the InfiniteFusion folder from your SD card to your Downloads folder first.

Then after that, open Steam and go to the entry for InfiniteFusion and click settings

you would need to update the path of where your game is here. DO NOT remove the entry as it will delete your save

Trying to edit code to enable cheats will **NOT **work. Magic boots are only available from in game rewards by catching the 470 Base Pokemon.

Both are issues with your internet. The game requires you to be connected to internet and on the latest version to get sprites properly:

• HotSpot/Mobile Data doesn't count.

How to Reset your Sprite Pull:

1. Open your menu in game and select Options.
2. Go to the option named Download Spritesand turn it OFF.
3. Leave the menu by pressing Enter on Confirm at the bottom or pressing B (if you don't, this won't work).
4. Open options again and turn Download Sprites back ON.
5. Save your game and close it. Reopen the game and your sprites should appear.

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crashtrainer battlers.

Steps:

1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

We only help with custom Pokemon sprite replacements. I’d imagine you can just replace the existing sprite for it in the Graphics folder but been instructed to avoid helping with file changes outside of Pokemon sprites

Lightweight Installer Update:

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click 'INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat'

App Installer Update:

1. Open the App
2. Click Installation Menu -> Update Game -> Click Update

Both options will update the game files for you. If it didn't, rerun the update and wait for it to finish. Take and share a screenshot of the window to #tech-support

Hey! I've been playing the game for the past 2 days and it was working just fine but today when I booted up the game and hit play I got an error "Error Opening OpenAL Device"
I have sound and speakers plugged in and they work just fine, I have also fully updated the game. Not really sure what else to do. Any help is appreciated!

Hey @mellow forge! This game is developed ONLY for Windows. Joiplay is a workaround to get Android to work, but iOS will not work.

Check our Official Android guide HERE. If you didn't follow this guide, DELETE and UNINSTALL everything.

All Android bugs/workarounds are in the guide. If your issue isn't listed, there's no fix. No dedicated mobile version of IF will be developed in the future.
