• you didn't extract the stuff and tried to run it while still zipped error
• your internet dropped while installing it error
• your antivirus said no to the install error

first save will automatically be "Classic" following fire-red leaf-green type encounters. with newer gens popping up later in the game.
on subsequent saves you can pick other modes like:

• Remix: newer gens pop up earlier
• Expert: optimized trainer teams
• Randomizer: well - random

that would be an internet issue. All it is doing at that point is downloading the game. You can use our App Installer. It has more network code and if it fails, it gives you a zip of the game alraedy installed for you

So I'm new to the game and just ended up with a fusion that has ni custom sprites yet.

I decided I'd to learn how to download my own custom sprite and give it a whirl.

I was toying around with settings on the app launcher and accidentally selected "download custom sprites" I canceled it at about 15% through the download, but it told me that any sprites that were deleted would remain deleated or something like that

How boned am I? What does that option do? Am I going to have e long black screens AND missing sprites now?

(Note. I lated found the option to download your own sprite in the Extra tab. If I indeed upload my own custom sprite there, is it accessible to all players?)

Hey @trail heath! Do you need to install sprites? No. The game by default install sprites as you encounter Pokemon over the internet. No need to install anything.

Why do we have sprite packs? If you have unstable internet, you can use the sprite packs to install them manually using this Guide.

The app will delete ALL custom sprites, then install the latest version of every custom sprite we have available.

Cancelling the operation would mean, you have no custom sprites now. I would suggest going back and installing the custom sprites to avoid performance issues with your game

But yes if you wanted to import your own custom sprite, the app has that option under Extras to place it in the correct folder for you, and if it isn't in the correct format, it will reformat the file for you.

Edit- also, of I'm making my own sprite, should I just save it as a PNG? What program should I use. I could use Aesprite, Krita, or Paint. Or is there some other popular program people use to create their sprites?

Because it installs the sprites to the Graphics/CustomBattlers folder. When you open the game, the game then has to SORT through all of those sprites, create indexed folders for them, and then move all 150,000+ sprites into the appropriate folders. This is based purely on your computer's processing speed which = long black screen

No, when you upload your own sprite, it uploads it directly into your local files. It isn't a tool to submit sprites to everyone, but a tool to upload your own sprite to your game if you dont know where to place them

If you have questions on how to sprite, I recommend looking at the pins in #spriting-guidelines

Yeah if you meet all the spriting criteria and have gotten the spriter role, those individuals post their sprites into sprite gallery and then it is up to the team to decide if it is good or not to be an official sprite for the game.

well the error isn't about skipping the intro, as that bug/glitch triggers later and has requirements that need to be met [i.e., choose any starter other than regular]

if it is an error about autosave, then something else on your pc is likely causing it because this is the first i've seen or heard of anyone having this kind of error

but you are welcome to try skipping the intro to see if that does it

the main part of the error is a map one related to oak's lab

Randomized mode is only offered if you already have a save file, so that people will play classic mode for their first playthrough.
You can start a game, save, quit, and start a new game if you want to play random, but it's not recommended to randomize trainers for your first time.

Area: Wild Pokémon are replaced randomly for each route.

Global: Wild Pokémon are replaced with other Pokémon on a species per species basis, so if Sunkern replaces Rattata in route 1, it will replace Rattata everywhere else.

Git has locked your game folder from updating. To fix:

1. Open your game folder.
2. Enable the setting to view hidden files. How to do that
3. Delete the .git folder you will see in your folder now
4. Delete your Data folder (This will reset your game data, but it will keep your save data)
5. Update Again by double clicking on INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat
6. Double click Game to open the game.

That means you are not opening the correct files

This usually happens when you are opening the game from a shortcut and it is pointing to another game folder you have

Yeah you can randomize your game, it just locks you out of the reward for collecting all Pokemon in the Pokédex
