Haven't been able to open my game at all today. Got a notification when I started the launcher that an update was available, so I clicked yes to it. Then when the launcher opened next the only option was to install. I've clicked that button a half dozen times - every time it starts installing, then some amount of time later bounces back to the main screen with just the 'install' button and no progress bar, only to start the install fresh

Nah 7 is enough, but your phone might not like it and could be stopping you. I know for example I've had enough space to download a game and have 2gb left but my phone wouldn't let me. So that very well could be it.

Hey there, I am having an issue with the Launcher play button. I think a download for an update yesterday got interrupted and didn't finish installing properly. Now the play button doesn't do anything but open a new version of the launcher. So the issue here is the installer is supposed to delete those 2 folders to start so that you are on a clean slate.
This also happened to someone else that manually uploaded the wrong sprites and for some reason the sprite installer didn't delete those folder either.
The person deleted Battlers and CustomBattlers folder before running and it worked after

1. Once you download, do not extract

Hello, I seem to be having problems trying to play this game. I downloaded it last year and wanted to revisit it but when i updated it the game was barly loading up. it would show the intro to the game but like 1 frame per 15 seconds or so. Super slow. I deleted the game folder, redownloaded the installer and reinstalled the game but the same thing keeps happening. Any suggestions on how to fix my issue?

Hey @fervent plaza! Are you having trouble downloading the game? You can find the download of the game in #downloads! To run it, simple unzip all of the files into a folder, then click the .bat file. Be mindful that the game takes a few minutes to load, don't touch the black window before it does!

while game-preloaded does take longer to load than the normal game aplication, that is because it is loading as much of the game all at once as it can

if after you added in sprites it is now taking longer, that is an indication that your PC or whatever device you are using to play the game isn't up to snuff

since you don't need to have the download sprites option on, that cuts out the internet requirement of the game, so the performance is 100% on your specs

Hey @native adder! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

It eventually loaded, it was just taking longer than before the reinstall. So, the reason I reinstalled doesn't seem to ahve been fixed, though. My party icons aren't combining correctly. Like, say I fuse a magikarp and a beedrill, they'd have the combined sprites in th e party. Instead, it's just showing up blank, no sprite and no DNA helix, it's just empty

Hey @tardy mural! Are you having trouble with the Pokéradar? You get it from the scientist in Cerulean City's Pokécenter. She gives you the Exp share as a quest reward there, and then will go to Route 24, where she will give you the radar.
When using it, make sure you have a repel active, or else you may only get regular encounters.

you may be better off doing a clean install of the game [i.e., deleting your infinite fusion folder, and then redownload the infinitefusion.zip file in #downloads
you don't "need" to add sprites in via the sprite installer or packs or preloadedsprites.zip file unless you plan to play with game-preloaded or your internet is bad/want to play offline

the game can grab sprites as it needs via the download sprites option

i just ran into an error that i cant seem to be able to fix by myself. Whenever i try to start the game the title animation rolls with like .5 fps. afterwards I get a blackscreen saying "The RGSS script seems to be stuck", forcing the game to quit.
Already tried uninstalling the entire game and reinstalling it. Didnt work.
PC specs are

• Ryzen 5 3600
• RX 5700XT
• 32GB Ram
  I might also add, that ive been playing Infinite Fusion in the past and never had such Problems. Last time I played was a few months ago

Hey @rich hearth! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Its not about power, many newer android devices will actually perform worse with PIF due to more secure/complex file storage.
PIF is not a hard to run game due to graphics or cpu usage, but due to the sheer amount of different files it has to load.

Its for a reason that you don't see other games with 300.000+ set enemy variants.

Nahhh, I tried it on my tab s9 ultra. It runs wayyyyy worse over there than on a 6year old android I have laying around, and even that is far from perfect.

To me the android PIF experience is not worth the trouble.

I do have a little tip for unpacking and moving files on android.
Android is TERRIBLE with many small files, it quickly fills the memory allocated to unpacking and slows down to a near 0 after a while. You can kinda avoid this by moving files in batches instead of all at once.
you would have to play around with the nr. of files, but you could likely do quite a bit at a time (I believe that I was doing like 2000 at a time, but its a while ago)

installing sprite packs just install sprites up front vs how it does it by default. By default they install when you encounter a pokemon

because you are installing sprite packs you will get a black screen because you are processing over 100k sprites at once. that is normal behavior. Preloaded no matter what has black screen because it is loading all the sprites before the game starts.

Game.exe has no black screen because it is trying to pull sprites over the internet so no start up time issues

You will have to move over your safe file from the launcher to the non-launcher wine skin. My Mac guy shows you where the save file is though for you to find.

Do you have OneDrive on your computer? This sounds like you files are backing up or something like that while saving. this doesn’t happen at all with the game. This seems like something is interfering with it outside of the game.

I would suggest next time you save, save it in a slot that you don’t normally save in like file G and see if it happens still

guys i have a question. running the game on a simple laptop. was a little slow, but i have issues with the launcher. I had played the game for over a month without issues. I took a week break and it now is prompting for an install in the launcher instead

I don’t think there’s a way to get the primary installer to work on Linux, maybe Mac too. Since I couldn’t get Steam Proton to recognize the bat file as an executable. I got the launcher to install the game just fine though with Proton 7. The pop-up box was black but the “ok” and “cancel” buttons were still there and functional. I clicked “ok” and the game installed and can be launched either by pressing play in the launcher or by adding game.exe as a non-Steam game.

This might just be SteamOS though and not other versions of Linux and MacOS. This is just what I had to do to get it to work on my Steam Deck.

Hey @dusty venture! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.
