I'm hitting a weird bug. On route 24 I'm trying to do the Buneary quest on modern. I activate the pokeradar like normal, but wheneber I move I automatically get into a battle, even under repel. If I try to move any direction but forward turning causes an encounter without leaving the space. Additionally images of buneary appear at the top of the screen and do not vanish until I go into a building such as the pokemon center.

The way pokeradar works is that it essentially applies a repel for every space that isn't shaking grass, and makes ur encounter rate 100%

But if ur lead is not high enough level for the "repel" to work, then u just have a 100% encounter rate

Alright buneary images keep poping up but I stopped with the 100% encounter move deal when I put a high level mon up front.

1. The performance of the Game **largely **depend on your pc and internet. Most Laptops are **struggling **because of the 6.x update. Old computers struggle too.
2. If your game is in a OneDrive folder, turn it off. This game lags hard with OneDrive.
3. Best way to reduce lag is downloading sprites yourself. The more sprites you have, the less it needs to connect to the internet to download them.

• The optimized version of the game is "game-preloaded" but this requires you to download **ALL **the sprites from the pinned instructions on the top right of the tech support channel. Click the Shortcut -> #tech-support message

4. If the game is still slow after using game-preloaded, you need to make computer upgrades.

Yeah that is the launcher. The launcher isn’t signed as a verified publisher because the dev would need to pay for that. So that is why windows usually flags it but it shouldn’t be causing your PC to do any of the things you mentioned.

it's a bug that was recently fixed with the new installer, that download has a file in it called Update, all you do when the game updates is run that file inside the folder it will make on your desktop

Hey @last lagoon! Are you having trouble downloading the game? You can find the download of the game in #downloads! To run it, simple unzip all of the files into a folder, then click the .bat file. Be mindful that the game takes a few minutes to load, don't touch the black window before it does!

Hey @last lagoon! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

The game looks for specific filenames/paths when displaying sprites. If it still shows red, then the correct sprite was not replaced,

That means your anti virus blocked the connection. You need to allow the launcher through your firewall/anti virus or install the sprites using our other tools

Running the latest preloaded version on my Steamdeck with Megamans "updatesSprites.zip" imported.

It throws up this missing file error (different sprites every time). I go into the dir to check, and every time the file does actually exist.

Any idea why it still throws this error?

KIF is also a standalone, I would be careful mixing IF files with KIF files since it can cause problems. I'm not saying thats what happened here. I'm just saying its possible.

Hey @broken ocean! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

Wanted to quickly update this (if someone else comes up with the same problem on the steam deck)

1. Clean install based on megamans tutorial (used .sh KIF installer instead of .bat) #tech-support message
2. Added all sprites from megaman's "UpdatesSprites.zip" #tech-support message
3. launched with "download missing sprites" turned on, turned off after title screen.
4. Copied "./Graphics/CustomBattlers/customBaseSprites/" content --> "./Graphics/BaseSprites/"
5. Fixed

The issue seems to be caused by the fact that KIF uses a random alt base sprite per mon for the title screen fusions (even if you have this option turned off)
PIF stores these alt sprites in "./Graphics/CustomBattlers/customBaseSprites/", while KIF stores them all in "./Graphics/BaseSprites/".
The most recent alt sprites are missing from the preloaded KIF version.

I know this is more so a KIF issue (put in a ticket there to fix this already), but I thought I'd mention it here too.

1. The performance of the Game **largely **depend on your pc and internet. Most Laptops are **struggling **because of the 6.x update. Old computers struggle too.
2. If your game is in a OneDrive folder, turn it off. This game lags hard with OneDrive.
3. Best way to reduce lag is downloading sprites yourself. The more sprites you have, the less it needs to connect to the internet to download them.

• The optimized version of the game is "game-preloaded" but this requires you to download **ALL **the sprites from the pinned instructions on the top right of the tech support channel. Click the Shortcut -> #tech-support message

4. If the game is still slow after using game-preloaded, you need to make computer upgrades.

Hey @remote trout! Are you having trouble with the Pokéradar? You get it from the scientist in Cerulean City's Pokécenter. She gives you the Exp share as a quest reward there, and then will go to Route 24, where she will give you the radar.
When using it, make sure you have a repel active, or else you may only get regular encounters.

Reset your sprite pull (you have to be connected to the internet):

1. Turn off Download Sprites option in setting inside the game. Like where your game volume is. This is the 4th option
2. Leave the menu by pressing Enter on Confirm or pressing B (if you don't, this won't work).
3. Go back to Settings.
4. Turn option back on.

I would recommend after doing this save your game, completely close the game and reopen and try again.

3. Click repair game.
4. It should start reinstalling.

phase 2 of my sprite installer will do this for you. Right now it deletes your sprites and installs them complete from the different sprite repos. Phase 2 will have it so it is just updating the sprites as they come out without needing to delete anything

It's possible. The best method is to dupe slakings with nincada since Slaking has a really high bst. Wondertrade returns are based off the bst you give. So the higher ones give a better chance at them. Isn't guarenteed

You need to install the sprites and try preloaded instead. It might help in regards to that since it offloads certain assets into ram instead of having the cpu cache them. Its made for lower end pcs, laptops, or even just old computers.

However, This game at the end of the day relys on whatever specs you have.

basically since roms are the actual game, they use the same pokemon creation methods so you can use pkhex for roms, and then if you have the correct gadgets hooked up to your pc, you can make the ds recognize the emulator as an actual console with a legit cartridge in it and transfer rom mons to ds, from there you can use cfw on the ds to transfer to home.

it's alot of hoops to jump through and honestly you're better off just using bot trading services like I mentioned for the Mitsuki discord.
