Downloading the sprites yourself manually does make your game perform better because it isn’t using the internet to install them.

The most optimized version of the game is the preloaded version but it is a 2gb download with 300k sprites

Hey @pallid cobalt! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

im actually recording it right now so in the next hour or so. in short you can download q4wine from the discovery store. This lets you run .bat and .exe files in desktop mode.
So right click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.exe and select open with other application. Select q4 wine and it will run

Hey @sterile pivot! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Yeah on your computer not game folder cause when you don’t use WineSkin, it installs the game like it does on PC. So it is in the Mac equivalent of the AppData folder

Urgent help needed!
I'm on the most recent update and I still have these long loading times from entering and exiting buildings and ending battles etc. How do I make the load times the normal speed?
Some say turn off downloadable sprites and change the fusion icons to DNA then back out the menu and return to the options and change them back to default.
I tried this and nothing happened, entered random battle and buildings the load times still take a long time.
My laptop has very low disc space so I can't manually download custom sprites due to time length it takes aka it takes 10 - 30 minutes depends on the PC and Internet speed but I don't have time for that if I'm being honest and my Internet connection is very stable.
Also the alternate launcher if I am correct uses the previous version and I keep getting these script error messages before the title screen appears.
Don't ask me which file I downloaded because I'm not on my laptop right now and if I can guess I chose the dynamic one though I can't tell the difference.

All downloads give you the same game. The only thing that will help with the lag is to add the sprites in the pinned messages here and run the game using "Game-preloaded.exe". There is a video guide with the download.
