Aparently i've seen some errors related to file names that could cause the issue but hey

One last thing, are you supposed to encouter 2 pokemons if you run away from fights in the safari's sand zone with the shadows on the ground? Cause sometimes the shadow doesn't go away after running away from a fight, forcing another encounter.

Basically locking you in 2 encounters instead of just one

The recommend fix that has been working is make sure you are on verion 6.0.2 and go to the update man in pokemon center and reshuffle pokemon. Basically need to reset the randomzier

Hey @pearl junco! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

I remember from yday you are using the launcher and you have folders in onedrive. If your game folder is in a onedrive folder, it is going to be REALLY laggy

those files are old. even if it gets you to 6.0.2 version, it doesnt have everything

use instructions I posted above to reinstall. Reinstall doesn't delete your save but if you on version 4.x it is not compatible

Not sure if these errors are the same ones folks having trouble with the launcher are getting, but it seems like something integral to running the game isn't getting downloaded. The first screenshot is from the .bat installer, the second one is the error that comes up when the game tries to start.
