Hey @vast hornet! Are you having trouble with the Pokéradar? You get it from the scientist in Cerulean City's Pokécenter. She gives you the Exp share as a quest reward there, and then will go to Route 24, where she will give you the radar.
When using it, make sure you have a repel active, or else you may only get regular encounters.

Keybind menu is accessible using F1 while running the game

so i'm doing my absolute best to try and bind keys to a controller. i've installed joytokey to try and assign controller inputs to keyboard presses. while in the F1 menu, after properly binding keys to keyboard buttons, i'm getting correct inputs when binding IN GAME.

ex. i've bound the X button on my PS4 controller (connected via bluetooth to my PC), to the Z key on my keyboard. when binding the A in-game button, it properly recognizes the Z key being pressed, even thought i'm pressing the X button on my controller, and is bound as if i pressed the Z key on my keyboard.

in short, my intended controller button presses are being recognized as the intended keybaord buttons, BUT ONLY IN THE F1 MENU.

when i try to then go past the title screen, nothing. it's as if there are no bindings whatsoever, no matter which button i press on my controller.

so which is it? where's the problem here?

Thanks! Also, the only way I found to "fix" the cry was to straight up replace the cry of the pokemon they had. Now all my Charmeleon fusion sound like Paldiatina but it's definitely better than hearing a small and weak cry.

If you're getting the "missing Game.ini" error, your game is not finding its necessary folders for some reason. Here's a list of things that may fix the issue:

1. Make sure that you have extracted the files from the ZIP, and aren't running the game straight from the zipped folder.
2. Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.
3. Rename the folder with the extracted files to a name without numbers or special characters, e.g. "PokemonInfiniteFusion".

I tried playing this game after downloading the dynamic version, and it was hanging on the starting black screens for a long time. Several minutes. I waited throug hthem to start playing and then it froze right at the start of the first battle.

I tried the Preloaded version and that one is working a bit better, but I'd rather NOT need to do any manual updates for sprites...I tried to tell my PC to make this games .exe in that Data thing, but my PC says I can't do it, something about being 64bit? Can someone help?

Presumably the debug menu, accessible in debug mode, which can be toggled with the Magic Boots item. I personally do it without that and use a 3rd party software. Now there are many ways to activate debug mode without the boots, but the dev/staff/mods don't want illegitimate ways of accessing it discussed in the Discord.

I'm trying to migrate a save from 4.9.2 to the latest download in #downloads, and the readme says:

If you already have a pre-5.0 savefile, it needs to be moved to the appdata folder.
You can do this automatically by running "migrate_savefile.bat" which is included in this download (you might need to run it as administrator)

However, I can't actually see any file called migrate_savefile.bat in the downloaded zip...

I have an issue. I opened the game for the first time and these are the default controls. However...they're just wrong

Like, the Z key is clearly mapped to be "A", X is supposed to be "B" etc. However, the Z key does absolutely nothing and the X key opens the menu. The Enter key instead functions as "A", even though it's not mapped to anything according to the bindings menu?

I've tried manually rebinding but even if I remove all other binds and only map "A" to the Z key on the keyboard, it still does nothing. Same with the others.

The movement keys (arrow keys) do work as usual. It's just every other button that's not working properly.
Anyone know why this happens/what the issue is?

before re-extracting the file i checked if the game would work like before i added the custombattler folder inside graphics, still the same issue which is apparently located inside the custombattler folder, im about to redownload the may pack, if it doesnt work still is there a way to keep my save files when i reinstall the game

It's recommended to have a tool like 7zip or winrar to extract the game to a normal folder but no, windows has a default extractor that can usually handle the dynamic version

Pressing F1 in game should bring you to the keybind menu, here's an image of what each button does by default

However, there is a bug that makes controller buttons not rebindable so you might have to use a input-mapper like JoyToKey

Hey @indigo elbow! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.
