Not sure then unfortunately. Modern mode causes that error for some reason. The only way I know how to fix it is to have a fresh install. When you play a game on modern it sort of flags the folder as a modern folder and the game behaves differently from then on regardless of what version you play

Funny enough, i've got a different error message this time. I have the last one as second image again just for comparison.
Maybe it has to do something with the route? Currently I'm on Route 24. I deactivated the randomizer for the quests there and activated the randomizer again after completion due to a bug with the pokeradar.

The difference between the preloaded and dynamic version is that the preloaded version comes with preloaded sprites (easier if you want to edit sprites for example), while the dynamic version will download the sprites as they're needed. Both are fully playable without any other downloads needed.

@upper tendon@gusty herald@elder barn First suggestion, to improve perofrmance/speed of game, is using the preloaded version of the game and the "Alternate Launcher" included with it. If this doesn't work, try changing the game options to have DNA icons on and download custom sprites off.

You can ignore the .git folder. As for the Other folder, that contains optional sprites, not related to custom pokemon sprites, that you may or may not want and have different locations to place them in. If you're uncertain, I'd suggest not worrying about it.

The dynamic version will download sprites as you play while the preloaded version of the game will have everything already in it. Just unzipping one of these full game zips will be enough. Now there are alternate trainer sprites, and what not, in the sprite packs that may interest you so looking into those are an option.

To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Hey @sterile pivot! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Hey yall, just downloaded 5.2.1, but can't seem to customize the keybinds for a PS5 controller. If you're getting the "missing Game.ini" error, your game is not finding its necessary folders for some reason. Here's a list of things that may fix the issue:

1. Make sure that you have extracted the files from the ZIP, and aren't running the game straight from the zipped folder.
2. Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.
3. Rename the folder with the extracted files to a name without numbers or special characters, e.g. "PokemonInfiniteFusion".
4. Move the entire folder somewhere else on your computer. Moving it to the desktop seems to work for most people.

It is a bit of pc issues and game issues. There's not much you can do. But do these three things. Have the preloaded version. Use the alternate launcher.exe from it. It takes 5 minutes to load. In the options menu turn off download sprites and turn on DNA icons

I am still having issues with black screens in some areas. Is there anything that can be done? It is some caves, outdoor areas, buildings, and even one whole town(Cinnabar Island). Here is a pic for example(I had exited the mountain with Moltres in it after fighting Team Rocket there but inside was the same way). When this happens the only thing that fixes it is getting into a battle either wild or with a trainer. Areas without any I can never see or fix. I've done good so far, have made it to 7 badges and Mt. Ember., but it has been difficult at times due to this. Have had to feel my way through some areas.

Okay, LONG story short, your game for some reason hates that its modern. You need to extract a fresh copy of the game in a new folder. When you play that game, you will be able to pick up from where you left off. Get past that point and save it. Go back to your original folder and play that version of the game when you get past Giovanni

So I think I know how to recreate the bug. When you complete a battle, spam the space bar or whatever button you use to pass the text. After a couple times it should occur for you as well

You should see that eventually when you press the button to pass the text talking about how much exp you gain, the exp bar may grow just a little but not even be nearly finished and just bring you back to the main screen with your character

O.O the pro controller isn't natively supported. You have to go through steam to essentially force it. It does work on Xbox with out doing anything.

If you're getting the "missing Game.ini" error, your game is not finding its necessary folders for some reason. Here's a list of things that may fix the issue:

Yesterday my game ran great but today I'm having some issues. Whenever the sprites fuse together I get stuck with long loading times for that pokemon. Whether viewing in party or even the PC Box. Whats the fix?

If i shut download off they show as a circle with ?

Weird that it's not saving the sprites when it downloads them, but it may be your internet, and in that case I would suggest using the preloaded version with downloads turned off

I did update the file with what is posted for all sprites from april but its still having the issue.

That's bizarre, there's no reason for it not to use the local sprites if downloading is turned off

Hey @sterile pivot! The game isn't made to be played on mobile! You can try to use Joiplay to run it, but the game will likely be very slow, glitchy, or downright unplayable.

Updates have blank randomized encounter tables, you need to visit an update agent and reshuffle your wild encounters

What happens if you take the save out of the folder, then launch?

some people have mentioned that the game shows you what pokemon are available in the route you are on, but that isn't appearing for me. Is that something I have to turn on? I'm playing modern mode so I'd really appreciate being able to tell, since the wiki is under construction still

Dynamic downloads the sprites from the internet when you play, so you need a constant internet connection.
Preloaded has all the costum sprites already. Choose preloaded if you don't want to be connected to the internet all the time. Preloaded also has an alternate launcher that helps with lag and long loading times

No it won't break anything if you do it right. And save your game inside of a pokecenter

Download completed

Now when I click on the game file/ alternate launcher..
A pop-up saying

"Error opening OpenAl device" comes up
