They have one of the smallest brain to body ratios of any mammal, additionally - their brains are smooth. A brain is folded to increase the surface area for neurons.
If you present a koala with leaves plucked from a branch, laid on a flat surface, the koala will not recognise it as food. They are too thick to adapt their feeding behaviour to cope with change. I read most of it. I tried the anime once and I though they butchered it from episode 1 and didn't proceed. Maybe I'll finish reading it one day, maybe not. Too much fan service, not enough good story telling after a point
I am not completely opposed an anime that change a few things from the manga but the changes they made was just too much (and it was episode 1 so I can only imagining it going down hill from there)
I mean, the main character use fire magic right ? In the manga his limbs take fire and he punch people (as an example). In the anime, they made a freaking magical circle appear around his wrist before they took fire. The entire nature of his power feel different. I don't like it. The end result is the same, there is fire and he punch people. but the all mechanic on how his power work is different
