I have a bunch of animal people (think more “wolfman” than usual “anthro”) named Amalkins in my book. They have names made out of smashing sounds together until they sound like a name.
I also have Fae, they have names that operate like so:
Plant Genus (family name), Plant Species (individual name)

I’m debating making the officer in charge of the local holding cells (think more of a drunk tank) who is a Capybara Amalkin be an adopted child of a Fae, and thus have a Fae name.
So in this case it would be: “(insert plant genus) Isthmius” since the second part is the species name of the Lesser Capybara

Amalkins love their combo weapons. But actually this has a more literary reference, flavored with RWBY trick weaponry.
Book was originally based on my favorite book series, Ranger’s Apprentice, which stars master archers/spies in fictional feudal Britain. So a bit of updating from bows and knives to a sniper rifle, then give him a sword for close combat, then combine for ease of mobility.

But I love trick weapons.
Sequel story is in the works. His new apprentice is getting a spear gun. Not a traditional spear gun, but a literal seat, with a musket hidden behind the head, which splits on impact to allow for a very close shot (or can be used at a distance if you open the spearhead first)
