and we likely know hoen is south since it has a more tropical weather so we can fairly guess that atleast the japanese regions are in the same place as irl so the others likely same

the most likely regions are probably sinnoh or unova, but i would love for Alola to be the 2nd region because island chain in the "too much water" gen

perfect segway to add in the Alola starters and legendes

Hoenn kinda has a disadvantage of not having any visual connection. With Kanto and Johto you had GSC and HGSS where the maps are connected in-game but Hoenn doesn't have that

To clean out your computer:

1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and fake data that the normal game doesn't have.

well from a code perspective it is far better to work with existing systems when possible as they tend to be more reliable and save time and game systems can be a lot more comprehensive than people would think, especially when it comes to AI behavior with selecting moves and factoring in abilities etc, personally I think making it from scratch would be foolish

like the community only recently figured out a bug tied to weather checks in the AI after like 20 years that led to enemy trainers starting with specific moves from weather conditions tied to the last battle you had leading them to use protect

also if it works well there is no reason to not keep using it, especially if it was made modularly

starting from scratch also possibly includes the risk of needing to change game engines; fan games with gen 8+ mons aren't super common

you'll find far more romhacks with them in it because the data is more accessible [i think]

Our android files are a little bit different than the normal windows files so there may be certain issues that you won’t be able to fix
