Hey! Are you having a hard time getting into the Hidden Forest or Viridian River, or are you looking for extra starters? After getting to Celadon, you can enter it from Route 16!

From the Hidden Forest, you can then enter the Viridian River where depending which tile you enter from, you will find different sets of starters as an overworld encounter. You'll hear a sound cue if an overworld encounter spawns when you enter the area.

How to transfer Hidden Ability from one Pokémon to another

This can ONLY be done with Pokémon caught naturally with their hidden ability, not with a hidden ability ball. Easiest method would be going to Secret Forest which is always a Hidden Ability area, as it doesn't matter which Pokémon you get with a hidden ability. It only matters that it naturally had that HA.

NOTE: Fusions encountered in the wild with a HA will lose that ability when they are unfused. Because of this, wild fusions will not work this.

Take mon with HA and fuse it with the mon you want a HA on, and make sure the mon that currently has the HA is the body

Choose the HA, then use a reverser to reverse the fusion, then unfuse the fusion. The other pokemon should now have its HA!

NOTE: Sometimes stats will be temporarily messed up, but will fix upon leveling or fusing

On the new HA mon, you'll actually get access to the move relearner moves of the moves the other pokemon knew when it was captured in addition to the regular moves it can relearn.

REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

NOTE: If you are offline and cannot play the game online, download the newest spritepack from #spritepack-releases (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID)

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not download, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".
Step 5. If that did not fix it, delete any game or launcher folders and do a full reinstall.
Step 6. After reinstalling, repeat step 4.

If for some reason none of this works, type ?tag altdownload in #ask-a-bot and reinstall using those files (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID)

1. Ensure your sprite meets the criteria above.

Duping a pokemon

To dupe Pokemon, all you need is one Nincada, one normal red Pokeball, and an empty slot in your party. Nincadas are easy to obtain in both Classic and Remix. In #ask-a-bot you can ask "How to get Nincada"

Steps:

1. Fuse the Pokemon you want to dupe with a Nincada. This will work with any Pokemon, including legendaries, mythicals, etc.
2. Level up the fusion to any evolution level. Nincada evolves at lvl. 20. Make sure you have a red Pokeball and an empty slot in your party.

• Note: Any evolution will work, meaning if the other half evolves under 20 (e.g Kakuna, the dupe will also work and you will end up with two Beedrills.)

3. The fusion will now split: you'll have a Ninjask and, in the empty space you had, you'll now have a Shedinja. Both will be fused with the Pokemon you're duping.

IVs ,EVs, and Natures will also carry onto both the new fusions and will have the exact same values.

How to transfer Hidden Ability from one Pokémon to another

This can ONLY be done with Pokémon caught naturally with their hidden ability, not with a hidden ability ball. Easiest method would be going to Secret Forest which is always a Hidden Ability area, as it doesn't matter which Pokémon you get with a hidden ability. It only matters that it naturally had that HA.

NOTE: Fusions encountered in the wild with a HA will lose that ability when they are unfused. Because of this, wild fusions will not work this.

Take mon with HA and fuse it with the mon you want a HA on, and make sure the mon that currently has the HA is the body

Choose the HA, then use a reverser to reverse the fusion, then unfuse the fusion. The other pokemon should now have its HA!

NOTE: Sometimes stats will be temporarily messed up, but will fix upon leveling or fusing

On the new HA mon, you'll actually get access to the move relearner moves of the moves the other pokemon knew when it was captured in addition to the regular moves it can relearn.

nah, its a weird quirk of how the radar works, for it to properly function your lead mon needs to be a higher level [within reason] than the wild mons

if it is on level or lower, the radar does what it is doing now, you take a step and you encounter mons

I fot my answer on this. From what I can tell (google) when doing a run where your rival has a randomized starter, that mon will evolve as if its (i think) Charmander/Bulbasaur.

So my rivals kilnk body evobled to a Klang body WAY sooner because it was following the evo-path of charmander/bulbasaur and not azurill/klink

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

How to transfer Hidden Ability from one Pokémon to another

This can ONLY be done with Pokémon caught naturally with their hidden ability, not with a hidden ability ball. Easiest method would be going to Secret Forest which is always a Hidden Ability area, as it doesn't matter which Pokémon you get with a hidden ability. It only matters that it naturally had that HA.

NOTE: Fusions encountered in the wild with a HA will lose that ability when they are unfused. Because of this, wild fusions will not work this.

Take mon with HA and fuse it with the mon you want a HA on, and make sure the mon that currently has the HA is the body

Choose the HA, then use a reverser to reverse the fusion, then unfuse the fusion. The other pokemon should now have its HA!

NOTE: Sometimes stats will be temporarily messed up, but will fix upon leveling or fusing

On the new HA mon, you'll actually get access to the move relearner moves of the moves the other pokemon knew when it was captured in addition to the regular moves it can relearn.

If you go to the move rememberer guy on floor two of the pokemon center, pokemon are for some reason able to remember moves from past fusions. So you could, say, fuse a bunch of pokemon with vulkarona to give everybody access to petal dance, snorlax for belly drum, etc etc, then fuse them with whoever else and keep the original moves afterwards.

1. Remake the game, from scratch, using a higher version of Pokemon Essentials; possibly also requiring a change in the game engine

2. Manually code in abilities and moves needed for Pokemon from those generations, this was attempted before to some extent, it broke everything

Frog has no real desire to do either of those for obvious reasons

that may change in the future [after all, for a good while he had no plans for a sequel to Infinite Fusion but is now working on a sequel set in Hoenn], and if he does change his mind, option 2 is more likely

so if you are worried about EVs - i suggest reading up on how they work.

but yeah, no "perfect ev", they always start at 0, they have nothing to do with breeding, you train EVs yourself.

Well 2 ways

1. Whenever the head of a fusion gets unfused stuff like nature's get randomised so if you're looking to change a specific ones nature make it the head of the fusion every time and keep unfusing (maybe save before so you can save scum so you don't have to waste all your DNA splicers)

2. There's a lady (I think south west ish of cinnebar island) she can randomise your nature for like I think 10k each time smth like that (definitely save scum her way save U so much money)

To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is not going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

Here's my advice. It's a complex game and later levels have a ton of RNG but I have earned a few thousand tokens from the game and its my preferred method of earning tokens since I hate the slots.
Rule number 1, this is not about finding where the voltorbs are its about finding where the points are. treat ones and bombs as the same thing. There isn't any point in clicking any square that doesn't have points, you are just asking to click on a voltorb. Use the marker tool to flag all squares that are either bombs or only have a 1. I've had rounds where this eliminates all the tiles except the ones with points.
Rule 2: keep an eye on the number of points on a row or column and the number of bombs. If they add up to 5 then there are no more points to be earned there. Be sure to account for any revealed tiles that have points showing.
Rule 3: keep an eye on which row and column have the most points vs voltorbs. If you need to guess those are going to be the safest tiles to click. (Keep an eye on any tiles that show points as they impact the totals and the game doesn't update them)
4. If you get lucky in later rounds and get a row or column that consists of only bombs take that into account when you count the bombs in other rows or columns.
5. Every time you clear a board those coins you earned are immediately added to your coin case. So you dont need to worry about losing tokens on a previous board.
6. Never cut your losses. Always play a board till you hit a voltorb or clear it. The clear board bonus vastly outweighs the amount of points you gain by cutting your losses. Especially on later rounds.

I'm sure there is a bit more nuance to the game but this is sufficient for me and I can consistently get to level 4 boards with these rules in mind. Which usually gets me 200-300 tokens a game.
