How to transfer Hidden Ability from one Pokémon to another

This can ONLY be done with Pokémon caught naturally with their hidden ability, not with a hidden ability ball. Easiest method would be going to Secret Forest which is always a Hidden Ability area, as it doesn't matter which Pokémon you get with a hidden ability. It only matters that it naturally had that HA.

NOTE: Fusions encountered in the wild with a HA will lose that ability when they are unfused. Because of this, wild fusions will not work this.

Take mon with HA and fuse it with the mon you want a HA on, and make sure the mon that currently has the HA is the body

Choose the HA, then use a reverser to reverse the fusion, then unfuse the fusion. The other pokemon should now have its HA!

NOTE: Sometimes stats will be temporarily messed up, but will fix upon leveling or fusing

On the new HA mon, you'll actually get access to the move relearner moves of the moves the other pokemon knew when it was captured in addition to the regular moves it can relearn.

How to Update to the Latest Version (Windows)

  • If you're on or above 6.6.0 double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.
  • If you're below 6.6.0 you must either reinstall in a NEW folder (since the updater won't work due to bugs) or use the New Launcher to update.
  • Reinstalling doesn’t remove or require you to move any Save Files.
  • If playing on a Randomized save, make sure to reshuffle after updating. Use ?tag reshuffle if you need help.

Hey! Are you having a hard time getting into the Hidden Forest or Viridian River, or are you looking for extra starters? After getting to Celadon, you can enter it from Route 16!

From the Hidden Forest, you can then enter the Viridian River where depending which tile you enter from, you will find different sets of starters as an overworld encounter. You'll hear a sound cue if an overworld encounter spawns when you enter the area.

Hey @sand timber! Are you looking for the Exp Share? You can get it in the Cerulean Pokémon Center from Professor Oak's Aide once you've fused at least 5 Pokémon. They can also be bought from the Silph Co. Lobby for 11,000$ if you saved 7 or more employees, or 8,000$ if you saved all the employees!

To use Exp Share, give it to a Pokémon to hold. That Pokémon will now gain XP without needing to participate in battle.

Exp Share will NOT stack with Exp All.

So i'm running randomized mode with only wild pokemon that are randomized, everything else is turned off. And i also have the randomize legendaries option set to OFF meaning it should only randomize legendaries in actual legendary encounters and not with wild pokemon.
so I'm not sure if this is a bug, but i just reached route 11 and i while running through the grass i got an Armaldo/Suicune fusion.
just wondering if anyone else encountered this before?

Ah okay i get it, it's just that i understood the opposite when i read the setting description.
The way it's explained here makes it sound like if the setting is off; based on the same example, if i encounter a Zapdos it could be a Mew instead.
but again my first question was concerning the fact that i had that option set to off but still encountered a legendary in the grass (at a place where there wouldn't be any legendary pokemon) which that option should prevent. that's based on what the descriptions say unless I'm mistaken but this is what lead me to believe that this is a bug.

Hey @formal idol! Looking for the Pokéradar? You can obtain it from Professor Oak's Assistant on Route 24, but she only appears after you meet her in the Cerulean Pokécenter.

When you use the Pokéradar, a repel automatically activates and grass will shake. This indicates which tile the Pokémon is in. If you are having issues with the encounters fleeing or need more info, use the Wiki Page: Wiki LINK

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

  1. Open your game folder
  2. Double click SaveFile
  3. Double click the folder named backups
  4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
  5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
  6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

If you defeat, run away, or get defeated by a Legendary Pokemon, you have two options:

Global:

  • Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

  • Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

How to transfer Hidden Ability from one Pokémon to another

This can ONLY be done with Pokémon caught naturally with their hidden ability, not with a hidden ability ball. Easiest method would be going to Secret Forest which is always a Hidden Ability area, as it doesn't matter which Pokémon you get with a hidden ability. It only matters that it naturally had that HA.

NOTE: Fusions encountered in the wild with a HA will lose that ability when they are unfused. Because of this, wild fusions will not work this.

Take mon with HA and fuse it with the mon you want a HA on, and make sure the mon that currently has the HA is the body

Choose the HA, then use a reverser to reverse the fusion, then unfuse the fusion. The other pokemon should now have its HA!

NOTE: Sometimes stats will be temporarily messed up, but will fix upon leveling or fusing

On the new HA mon, you'll actually get access to the move relearner moves of the moves the other pokemon knew when it was captured in addition to the regular moves it can relearn.

...I want to double check before I make any plans, if I move over a legally attained Magic Boots as mentioned in the wiki to a newgame+ file, and use them to start a single species run (have to use one species fused with anything I find), does that break things for me on the server? And would choosing Hard mode + Level cap with usage or infinite rare candies rom the Magic Boots break things? Just want to know what I can do here to make these runs fun for me, while still being considered normally for roles and what not. Want to have fun with the file I want, but I don't want to be labeled as a cheater lol

Hey @uneven jay! Are you having trouble finding the entrance to Mt. Ember? Talk to Team Rocket outside of Cinnabar Island's Ferry Dock. Follow them inside and they will steal the boat. You will need to use surf through the currents in the Offshore Road to get to Mt. Ember.

To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

  • Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

  • Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

If you enable Randomizer, and then use the Debug feature "add pokemon --> fill boxes" to add 1 of each Pokemon....

Would it add 1 of each still, or would it add 1 random Pokemon 501 times?

Can you get items from fusions or is it just the unfused pokémon? For example if you're looking for a Metal coat, would it be just unfused magnemites/magnetons or would fusions with magnemite/magneton also be able to hold it?

Hey @hard hill! Are you trying to unfuse a fusion? Use a DNA splicer on it!

If you're wanting to unfuse a Pokémon you got from a trade: Pokémon with a different OT than yours cannot be unfused! However, you can make it forget its OT in the school in Violet City (post game) for ₱50 000. You're free to unfuse it after that!

How to transfer Hidden Ability from one Pokémon to another

This can ONLY be done with Pokémon caught naturally with their hidden ability, not with a hidden ability ball. Easiest method would be going to Secret Forest which is always a Hidden Ability area, as it doesn't matter which Pokémon you get with a hidden ability. It only matters that it naturally had that HA.

NOTE: Fusions encountered in the wild with a HA will lose that ability when they are unfused. Because of this, wild fusions will not work this.

Take mon with HA and fuse it with the mon you want a HA on, and make sure the mon that currently has the HA is the body

Choose the HA, then use a reverser to reverse the fusion, then unfuse the fusion. The other pokemon should now have its HA!

NOTE: Sometimes stats will be temporarily messed up, but will fix upon leveling or fusing

On the new HA mon, you'll actually get access to the move relearner moves of the moves the other pokemon knew when it was captured in addition to the regular moves it can relearn.

From the Hidden Forest, you can then enter the Viridian River where depending which tile you enter from, you will find different sets of starters as an overworld encounter. You'll hear a sound cue if an overworld encounter spawns when you enter the area.

REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

NOTE: If you are offline and cannot play the game online, download the newest spritepack from #spritepack-releases (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID)

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not download, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".
Step 5. If that did not fix it, delete any game or launcher folders and do a full reinstall.
Step 6. After reinstalling, repeat step 4.

If for some reason none of this works, type ?tag altdownload in #ask-a-bot and reinstall using those files (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID)
