Hey @mental pollen! Are you trying to evolve Nincada? It evolves into Ninjask at level 20! If you have an empty slot in your party and a normal red Pokéball in your bag (won't work with other balls), you'll also get a Shedinja! If your Nincada was fused with something else (say, a rare legendary), you'll thus have two fusions of that other Pokémon, successfully duplicating it. :eyes:

No, it's a joke for those that played gold/silver (or their remake).

If you just want the basics, each egg has a certain amount of "steps" needed for it to hatch, a pokemon with flame body on the team doubles the value of the steps taken.
There is a spa where you can just stand in the water as well as items called incubators to give a large number of steps in one go too.

Steps:

1. Fuse the Pokemon you want to dupe with a Nincada. This will work with any Pokemon, including legendaries, mythicals, etc.
2. Level up the fusion to any evolution level. Nincada evolves at lvl. 20. Make sure you have a red Pokeball and an empty slot in your party.

• Note: Any evolution will work, meaning if the other half evolves under 20 (e.g Kakuna, the dupe will also work and you will end up with two Beedrills.)

3. The fusion will now split: you'll have a Ninjask and, in the empty space you had, you'll now have a Shedinja. Both will be fused with the Pokemon you're duping.

IVs ,EVs, and Natures will also carry onto both the new fusions and will have the exact same values.

It evolves a pokemon that can evolve, regardless of what it would usually require.
This means that you could evolve a dragonair that just evolved from a dratini (at level 30) into a dragonite for example, without having to level it to 55.
There are only 2 per playthroughs though so you have to pick carefully.

Hydregion is definitely a good target, but only if you actually want to be using it relatively early.
Volcarona also exists as a pokemon you can capture directly in the safari (not the easiest to catch, but it is there), so I personally wouldn't consider it a good target.

I know I even used one to evolve a nincada at some point, extremely wasteful obviously but it made sense at the time (I don't regret it but I wouldn't say it's a good use for such a limited item).

Hey @hearty burrow! Are you looking for a Mew? You can find them by having 22 Positive Karma and go to Mt. Moon Observatory. Mew will spawn while viewing the telescope at night. Move the dot in the center of the telescope to start the battle. If you don't see Mew, but hear its cry, that means you need more Positive Karma. Actually, Lunge is taught via the move expert, and it has a TM in Generation IX.

So that's where I'd put them.

So is Speed Swap.

and the 5 pokemon that could learn Lunge in gen 7 (the generation that this game uses for movesets) do not exist in PIF

again, speed swap is limited to 4 pokemon in gen 7

I agree that moves like liquidation should be learnable

but I don't think they should just be haphazardly crammed into the move expert

just add them as TMs in the Celadon Mall if you need to

I thought new TMs were horribly painful to implement.

It would be less likely to be done as a TM.
