Hey @long anvil! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

Wondering what the different game files are?

• Game.exe is the normal game. You don't need sprite packs as they are downloaded automatically with the latest sprites as you play.
• Game-performance.exe is the lighter version of the game required to make it work on slower computers. It has long black screen start up and pc/party sprites are invisible until your next game restart. For new sprites, monthly sprite-packs must be downloaded manually.

Hey! Are you having a hard time getting into the Secret Forest or Viridian River, or are you looking for extra starters? After getting to Celadon, you can enter it from Route 16!

From the Secret Forest, you can then enter the Viridian River where depending which tile you enter from, you will find different sets of starters as an overworld encounter. You'll hear a sound cue if an overworld encounter spawns when you enter the area.

If you've beaten the league on any save, you can make a NG+ save that starts with all the pokemon you had in your pc, devolved and low level.

If you have caught all 501 base pokemon on a non-randomized save, you can claim the debug boots from an NPC in game, essentially unlocking cheats.
