Welcome to Dust and Rust! A settlement and mining focused hardcore desert survival server with a Gold Rush theme! We are an inclusive community with gameplay geared towards exploration, and settlements based on resource extraction.
☀️ Dangerous Desert Environment
The scorching sun of the desert causes surface temperatures to exceed 45 C during the day in the lowlands. You must be smart with managing body heat, food and water supplies in order to survive!
⛏️ Prospect, Mine, Settle!
The Interesting Series mining mods makes it so that ore now comes in very large deposits (some exceeding 10k blocks)! However, it is very difficult to move freshly mined ore (called "muck") so you need to refine it near where it is being mined. It is recommended to settle near ore and trade for anything you may need from other settlements. If mining isn't your thing there are also many ruins strewn about the Rusted Sands with dangers and treasure for you to explore!
