Lions and leopards in the savannahs, tigers and panthers in the jungles. More uses for termites, mounds and bamboo (I saw a YouTube comment suggesting cooking bamboo and termites and getting a plaster-like material from termite mounds). Also, are there camels?

i'd really want to see the game be properly playable in all climates, with each having a somewhat different experience

there's a mod that adds palms in warm areas, coconut palms giving you trivially easy bowls and date palms giving you ample easy food
