"kama" is a very tantalising candidate.
pros:

• literal translation of "reach"
• taunting. playful mayhaps
• plays into "kama wawa" very well

• confusing. way too versatile of a word ("kama kama"? really?)

other considerations:

• "sinpin"; would be great but already used for the word "hand" (手牌) and monzen 門前

i think the better way to think of ippatsu despite its official definition is "being able to tsumo or ron before discarding another tile on your turn after you have called riichi" instead of "tsumo or ron within one cycle of turns after having called riichi"

i feel like this could be a better description because

1. describing turns, cycles, rounds, and games in toki pona sucks ass. sike all the way
2. discarding tiles is the key indicator that your turn has ended
3. probably makes describing 一発消し (pon/chi-ing to remove ippatsu) easier?
