As for car games, if you're into competitive realistic racing then an iracing sub might be worth it but its super expensive, otherwise something like rfactor2 or project cars 2 is a good bet. If you're looking at crashes you've got beamng drive and wreckfest to play

90% of trucks have what's called a wind kit. It's basically a "skirt" each side and at the top of the cab to make it more aerodynamic and not create drag between the cab and trailer

#

Generally extends the sides and top of the cab between 6 and 12 inches

See the joint going all the way up from the amber marker light on the left, you can see where it joins beside the ladder too and notice the top is not as deep or extends as much, that is to account for sharp increases in elevation in the road.
Otherwise the top of the trailer would hit and break the windkit
