It's not perfect (the interior is a little off in scale), and it cost an arm and a leg, but it's fairly decent. Would recommend.

Fun fact but if you ever install promods maps, the log will always show errors for the missing locations. Its stored in the save file.

I enjoy open world, but there has to be something else like missions or resource gathering. Pure sandbox is like "we made a thing, but really it's just legos, you have to make the actual game up yourself". There's a time and place for it, but not something I enjoy playing for very long
Space Engineers is good, but has that same problem. Fun to build ships, but there's practically zero "anything else to do"
though they just finally game out of early access, maybe they finally added some actual gameplay
