Problem being with taking so much time to make an engine would be that people would not only expect more but have more features they wanted and the engine would be 4 years behind again, I'd rather they just start doing small updates to the existing one, it's a great base and I don't know a ton about how it's set up but fixing the physics part of it would be HUGE
