@sonic rock Actually I'm not sure that they do. I've seen them boast 120ft toolbar so far. But there is a red seeder out there that is 214ft. and Deere don't do red. It's a long way back to 2009. Zells have been using 214ft for years now and it sure isn't a Deere.

They would, if they planted saplings. A semantic on having a mini seed hopper versus a central bin isn't enough to say they are different. All they have done is shortened the feed length to reduce their control systems error margin for how they've decided to deposit it. But if the control system were to account for a feed rate that was fairly consistent from a central bin there would be no difference at all.
But if you're doing a small acreage you don't need a seed bin.
