I suppose this questionnaire can also be used to determine what type of ground vehicle it is:
Does the tank remind you of the T-80U/UK in terms of it's turret ERA facing downwards towards the hull? T100 Black Eagle
Does the tank have a big box on the top? ZTZ-96
Does the tank look like it has multi-layered turret ERA? ZTZ-99
Does said ERA also now look properly joined? ZTZ-99B
Is the tank turret profile very round and not blocky? ZTQ-15
Does it look like the boat has a big gun? ZTD-05
Does it look like it has a small gun? ZBD-05
Does the vehicle resemble the ZSU-35 Tigris in it's hull design? BM-2T Stalker
Is the vehicle incredibly tall, and loosely reminiscent of the M1128 (with the exception of it lacking a 4th wheel on each side)? Otokar ARMA
Does it look like a BMP-3 to you? ZBD-04
Does it look like a BTR-80 with it's turret in the rear, or an LAV-25 to you? ZBL-09
Does it remind you of the 2S25 Sprut? ZTL-11
Does the vehicle share the same hull as the T100 Black Eagle, but with an excessively oversized turret and gun? 2S9 Sochor
Does the wheeled vehicle have an oversized gun in the back? PLL-09
Does this oversized gun lay on a tracked vehicle instead? PLZ-05
HQ-6 is already very identifiable, it even says it's own name!
Does it look like a Gepard to you? PGZ-09
Does it look like a Gepard with Stingers to you? PGZ-09 (TY-90)
Does it not look like a Gepard, but still looks like an SPAA? ZSU-35 Tigris

For air vehicles, I think this can be used (though PID'ing air is a lot harder)
Does it remind you of a Ka-50? Mil Mi-48
Does it remind you of a Eurocopter Panther or the EC155? Kamov Ka-60
Does it remind you of the Eurocopter Tiger instead? Z-10
Does it remind you of the older Eurocopters like the Gazelle and the BO-105? Z-11
Is it a blackhawk clone? Z-20

For jets:
Does it look like a very large air asset (similar to Flankers), but with the vertical stabilisers angled towards the sides instead of angled entirely vertical? (similarly to the Su-57 Felon)? To-201 Shikra
Does it look too Soviet and a little bit like an Su-25? Yakovlev Yak-130
Does it look like an Eurocanard (Typhoon/Rafale) or a Mirage 2000? J-10
Does it look like a Flanker (Su-27)? J-11/J-15/J-16, all of these have near identical loadouts anyway lmao
Does it look stealthy, with forward-swept wings similar to the Berkut (Su-47), and did it not bomb or strafe anything? J-20

To be fair, sometimes sensors just don't have the resolution on the target to see the detail you would need to properly identify them(yes I use A3TI).

considering apparently it can spawn as red air despite me never having seen one (and yes, I flew reaper a ton, I'd know if it spawned more likely than anyone else besides maybe bunker and nilsson)

done (sadly there's no good way to describe the To-201, because it only shares similarities with the Flanker on account of how fucking gigantic it is, so you really have to look for those vert. stabs and their angling/shape)

We can't even use the fact it's a stealthy plane to our advantage, because this is the non-stealthed loadout of a Shikra, meaning it's RCS is the same as the F-16, whereas the stealthy one has an RCS of 0.6, so we'd know it's a Shikra potentially when Reaper is confused about not seeing shit on radar

just a few notes regarding the PLA weapons:

the TY-90 is a pretty potent surface-to-air missile (and air-to-air missile) with no launch warning, pretty much a more buff version of the Stinger.

The Mini-Spike is called the Titan missile, and it's a bit worse but it's still good.

The 9K121 Vikhr cannot be fired by the Mi-48, nor can the Z-10 fire it's AKD-10. However, the rocket pods and TY-90 (the Short Range AA missile), are fair game.

The Kh-25MTP (IR Kh-25) may be usable since it's an IR guided variant, against vehicles, and other unguided anti-ground ordnance. Same goes for the YJ-91 as that is radar-guided, but pretty bad so don't expect to see a lot of that. However, the LS6 Laser-guided bomb is not usable by the crew as a guided bomb.

Tl;dr: Anything that requires manual guidance by the AI is basically not usable because no DCO vehicles. Only unguided ordnance and automatic guidance ones work.
