no no it works with both somehow i just
like if i change the setting on my computer between chat and game, it just makes it so that if i put it at the top, its game, and the bottom is chat, and the middle is a mix of both
like i opened up a game and closed it
since game is my normal computer setting
and then my discord is on 'chat';
so that i can adjust how loud people are vs a game
but spotify stops working when i switch the actual computer output setting to 'game' randomly

I purchased the Arctis 7 (2019 version) from walmart yesterday and I charged them all night via usb to my PC and they are still flashing yellow. Is there a fix to this and in the software the battery level isn't even half

You probably have mic sidetone enabled in which case you're hearing everything your mic is picking up through the headset

You've probably got the keyboard set to the american layout when it should be in the UK one, open up the keyboard in SS Engine and change it to UK English

Did as you said and factrory resetted the keyboard. Keys does not cause a flash now but still does not illuminate
(reactive layer > fade works on those keys btw)

Hey, i was wondering if anyone could help me with an issue im having with my QCK Prism Cloth XL. The RGBs in zone 2 (top part of the mousepad) emit a yellow light no matter what colour i set it to, when it is white it is yellow but when i change it to pink or blue it becomes red or green like when you mix paints and no matter what I do it doesn't just become its normal colour. Does anybody know how to fix it?

Hello, i have a headset steelseries arctis 7 edition 2019, i was really happy of this stuff since today. I was playing with friends and they began to do massiv noise, so i used the chatmix button to reduce the sound of my friends and to up thé sound of the game but it muted everything. All my games are like non recognised by my headset and now my button chatmix is unsuable.
Pls help me to fix it.

@viral oasis it'll probably disappear over time, but depending on what type of surface the pad is (cloth, hard, etcx.) you can look up guides on the SS website for how to clean it and that will get rid of the smell

Whats a good eq setting for the arctis pro + gamedac

@gaunt jackal that all depends on what game and your play style. Footsteps are treble so raise the right side of the EQ. Explosions are bass so left side of EQ. Best practice is to move in small changes in one maybe two sliders and play with for at least 10 minutes. It takes time for your brain to adjust to new sound signatures.
@stiff phoenix it should. They haven’t mentioned changing their BT profiles.

@regal edge if using a USB 3 port try using a USB 2 port and see if that improves it.
@gaunt jackal ensuring DAC is up to date is always a good idea, but honestly if it works I wouldn’t worry about it. If the features all work then don’t give it an option to break.

SS software is barely acceptable. It shouldn’t break but I wouldn’t ever bet against it. If it isn’t broke don’t fix it lol. If your headset gets stuck updating don’t worry, it will still work. I just got through a painful experience with support about failed headset update, they need help in support, badly.

You install the SS engine software and plug in the game dac, it will detect the game dac and tell you if there is an update.

are you using the extension/adapter cable? or plugging straight into a USB C port?
if you have a USB C port and that works/makes connect sound then it likely means the usb adapter/extension cable is bad.
if the straight to USB C port doesn't work then bad dongle.

Lol well that's because the USB port is reading the Arctis 5 ChatMix dial as the device plugged into it, not the headset itself
Also keep the Apex Pro unless you want your keyboard to die on you in a year

windows mouse properties, turn off enhance pointer precision in the pointer options tab
in SS engine. set the acceleration and deceleration to zero (far left) angle snapping slider all the way to the left. sensitivity line should be level and in the middle of the graph

Tom, will it happen if the mouse is not moving? If it happens while the mouse is not being moved then something in the circuitry is messing up. If it happens only while moving there could be a setting needs adjusting, sensor needs cleaning, etc

Because right now It's glowing for 1 sec after I get notification and then there is no colour. It will be useful if the mouse is breathing on that colour that you chose until you don't open Discord. Yes. The engine runs in the background of your PC so it's able to keep whatever lighting effect, key binds, mouse dpi, etc you set in the engine

@sweet swift i used to have that problem and after looking around i found that certain color settings just dont wan to work and you have to adjust it till it works. hope this helps

other than that when i played osu i kept getting this issue aswell whether i was hitting the button or not is beyond me so i just went into the steelseries engine and made it to where there was only 1 specific sensitevity so that it wouldnt get messed up

yeah but CPI didnt seem to be an actual option and polling rate was explained to me as how many times it was refreshed or every time it was moved the higher the polling rate meant the more the cursor moved wich i then assumed it was directly according to CPI

it could very well be just a malfunction, which happens sometimes. there's always gonna be some products that just don't work out of production. I'm glad that its still in warranty so that you can get support though 🙂 Just wait on the ticket, and see if they can help ya out.

Arctis Pro Wireless: Heya, so I am having this issue where using the GAME audio setting as default for windows causes the computer to freeze every couple of seconds when trying to process any audio. Games/Youtube etc. Any advice? I've tried reinstalling SSE and the issue persists.
Is this because of an update? Maybe my drivers conflicting?

I found the fix... kinda. Before you do this keep in mind: other Razer devices such as keyboards and mice and things recognized by synapse will cause problems so you'll have to unplug them and use another keyboard, mouse etc. This is fine if you like to use a gamepad to play games.
So the fix, simple and easy:
Shut down your computer completely, unplug it and/or flip the power supply switch to off, wait about an hour then plug in the usb dongle and boot up.For laptops I'd assume the fix would be the same, remove the power source (battery) wait an hour then insert battery and dongle and boot up.

Hi-res is a generic music industry term for music in a resolution over 16 bit 44khz sample rate. High resolution speakers is pure marketing and has no real world application. The APW dac will only decode 16/44. So it can not be called “hi-res”.

Games are not published higher than 16/44 so for gaming hi-res is not important. Music is another issue. It really depends if the music was well recorded (foo fighters subjectively make good music, but the recording quality is low). SS headsets are not resolving enough to take advantage of good hi res music

Sounds like you just got faulty unit. You should contact support and RMA it for a replacement

you may have blown the drivers. does it do it while plugged in via 3.5mm cable? if it doesn't then the electronics in the 7's have gone bad and try a factory reset and see if it still happens. if it still crackles when wired then you have most likely blown the drivers.

Hi, I recently bought an Arctis 7 wireless headset, and have been having issues with it since:
the headset will randomly turn off as it desires (probably related to the auto turn-off timer), but the thing is, I have set the timer to NEVER and it can turn off even when the headset is in use (listening to music, playing games etc). I sent a support ticket about a week ago, received a response to send it back and get another one, however, looking up the problem on google showed me, that many many people have that issue with their headset as if its more of a software problem. It can't be, that you ship out thousands of faulty headsets even a year later... So, I redirected the support team to these posts on the ticket, but have not got a response since and it has been about a week now or more (maybe they forgot?). What could I do, huh..

I have connected my 9x to my new PC and I have been playing Horizon Zero Dawn. Under the Audio there are a few options my focus is the two for my Headset; 1. Speakers (Steelseries Headset)(Stereo) and 2. Headset Earphones (Steelseries Headset Handsfree-AG Audio).
When I select the first option there is no sound that comes out of my headset speakers but if I choose the second option is coming out but its super static and can't
understand anything, its just mumbled and static.

Hello. Earlier, I left my Arctis 7 charging overnight. I woke up this morning to see that it is still charging so I was surprised that it still wasn't fully charged. I turned it on and the battery indicator is blinking red. After seeing this, I plugged my Arctis 7 to my computer again to charge, but the charging indicator isn't working anymore until now. I did the hard reset thrice already, but the charging indicator hasn't worked ever since. I can still use it now since it still has charge, but I'm afraid this won't turn on anymore if I used up all the battery.
Any other ways to troubleshoot my Arctis 7? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I've opened the headphones up. The issue was a physical rattle coming from the speaker housing (the black thing just to the right of the headset and below the ear cushion)
The speaker housing is glued shut.
