This one also allows for play back of higher resolution audio(24/96 vs 16/44) now if you are not playing high res music this isn’t a noticeable improvement. It’s a problem with the arctis 1 headset failing to update. They wanted to send me a new dongle. It works fine, just won’t update.

I had issues with the 9X as well but I just returned those and got the 7’s. And gave up on Xbox and sold the console. That support person wanted me to break them. Two times I contacted support and two bad experiences. That’s why I joined the sub reddit and here. To try and help people fix issues.

arctis 3 bluetooth would give you the most use from console & being able to use it w bluetooth on ur phone

If you are Xbox the 1 wireless for Xbox does not have a way to balance game and chat volume unless you plug in the headset wired and make balance adjustments then unplug to go back to wireless. The 3 Bluetooth is a good choice.

I haven’t used Dolby Atmos on Xbox. I have used the DTS:X from SteelSeries on PC and they do a very good job. I do use Atmos and DTS:X in my home theater and there is not much of difference in that arena. Both do the same job of virtual surround. So I would guess the Atmos from Xbox will be good with Arctis. Which headset were you considering?

The pro wireless work with the PS4 and they haven’t changed their audio chain with the 5 so shouldn’t be a problem.

MS is opening their audio on the mini fridge so we should be able to use the 7’s and pro wireless on the new Xbox for a change. That has not been confirmed though

I use Arctis 7 for pc and I used the Arctis 9x for a while on Xbox then went Arctis 1 wireless Xbox for a while. I also have aGoXlr interface going to a headphone amp so I can use really nice headphones with a separate mic when I really want to get fancy.

Here the 1 Wireless is costing around 180 dollar's

The 9x have connection issues that is MS fault with their proprietary protocol. I don’t suggest the 9X. The Arctis wireless were good but you can’t adjust the game voice balance unless you plug the headset into the controller and make adjustments there. After that you can unplug the headset and use wireless again until someone else gets too loud or quiet again. The over all sound was good enough but the 7’s just have a better sound.

The 1 wireless Xbox runs $99 here in the states. But you can use them with PS, PC, Nintendo, android tablets etc. they are really versatile.

I think my razer issues stem from mostly being on a mac, so I'm sure it's fine for most people. but I love how my workstation is looking with all this steelseries stuff and how well the engine works
