I've had my Arctis 7 for a couple months now and it's worked great. Today i cleaned the microphone piece with a general purpose cleaning wipe as their was something on it. I did this while the headset was totally turned off. Now no one can hear me unless i turn my discord sensitivity all the way up and scream. The mic seems to be super quiet. okiess!!! fair enough :D i got the headset today and my pc seems to not recognize it, it just labels it as 'realtek', after some time i managed to get the sound working however when i try talking on discord my friends told me that they can hear every kind of noise through my headset (such as birds chirping in the background, or their own keyboard sounds) i tried to fix it through discord input sensitivity but no luck, despite being that sensitive whenever i tried speaking loud it didn't quite pick it up so im thinking of returning it sadly
before this i used G430 and im kinda sad this headset doesn't have the mic monitoring
so hearing myself speak feels different now haha

it's just an analog headset, so your pc won't "recognize" it in the traditional sense. it's entirely driven by your audio drivers, and it won't show up in the engine. i'd make sure your drivers are up to date.
