Go with whatever suits you, if you like SS go for the SS mouse pads. If you like razer or another brand that's cool too (the wrong choice but a choice nonetheless ;) ). I personally use a qck prism and I love it. But it's all personal preference. :)

i got the pro, and wanted a tkl. it's nice though, but i'd recommend going with a apex 7 to try out mechanical switches.
better yet, buy a hot swappable board and buy switches to test out which type of switch you prefer
the pro switches are linear, meaning there's not feedback on the travel
those are usually red switches from other companies
brown switches are tactile but quiet, and blues are clicky and tactile
some companies make other colored switches with different operting weight and actuation height, but the 3 feedback types are consistent- linear and quiet, tactile and quiet and tactile and clicky
a good hot swap board is the gmmk compact- a 60% frame where you pull in and out switches with a tool
get that and start with cherry switches- once you find your preferred feedback start trying out different actuation height and/or operating weight switches
main brands you should be looking at are cherry, but Kailh has many, many types of switches to try out
usually linears are preferred for competitve gaming and some just prefer that. if so, the apex pro switches are top notch, only gripes are it sounds a bit more "loose" after some use and the stabilizers get rattley
as for the other two, anything's your choice

As long as you are logged into your SteelSeries account in the Engine, it auto syncs your info to the cloud. I don't know if there is any other way to access the cloud without logging in to your account on another device.
