i've had 2 and the only issue was a. m750 not having layered effects like on the site (though that's easily fixable) and b. arctis 7 power light showing wrong charge
both are easily fixable, m750 through aurora and a7 through a reboot

Can anyone explain ChatMix to me? Arctis Pro Wireless
@vital crag sure. ChatMix means that you have two audio devices. One for gameplay and one for voice chat. You can then on the transmitter box (or remotely via the headset) change the balance between the game sound and voice chat. So that if you're having trouble hearing your friends over the game you can use it to turn down the game volume and up the voice volume. I hope that makes sense :)

@stray axle You need to download SteelSeries Engine 3 from their website. That'll let you customize the rgb and stuff
@fleet reef I was having a similar problem with my Arctis 5s when I first got them. I turned up the system volume in Windows to max and then control the volume through the wheel on the side of the headset
@vital crag In the configuration setting for Discord select the mouse you have from the drop down menu then go to Discord events and select none
@odd edge have you dried going into the control panel on Windows, hardware and sound, manage audio devices, recording, and making sure the Artics 5 is selected as the default device? If it is and it still won't work click on the artics mic then go to properties, levels, and see if the symbol on the right of the slider is muted or not

I used to have a HyperX Cloud II before i bought the Arctis Pro Wireless.
@vital crag you might need to follow the steps I gave to MOPP and go into the mic properties and make sure it's set to the highest quality which should be listed as DVD quality

Hmm that sounds like windows just bugged out then. I doubt an internet outage would make your mic stop working. Have you tried listening to it through the SSE settings?

@stray axle have you gone into the hardware and sound settings and made sure that the Arctis mic is set as the default recording device and/or gone into the properties and made sure windows didn't accidentally mute the mic?
@stray axle sounds like there's probably some setting in ESO that's making it do that then if the function key works normally in other games
in sound settings the only input device i can choose is arctis 7 chat

Hey, is there any way to reset the Arctis Pro Wireless base station?
It says "Please select source as current one is deleted" and selecting a source doesn't do shit
Literally nothing happens when I select a source
The headset is connecting fine to it
And moreover SSE detects the headset but I can't see it as an audio source anymore
I don't have the Arctis Pro Wireless but I would think there would be some kind of reset button on the base station that you can trip with a paper clip or something @rare crane? If not then I'd check around on the interwebs for a solution
Last time i had an issue with my APW i got given these instructions which resolved my issue, see if it helps you by any chance

PAIRING
The headset is already paired to the transmitter when it arrives. In the event you need to re-pair, go into the pairing menu and follow the on-screen instructions
Option > System > Pairing
The headset is paired to the transmitter
If you try removing the pair and re-pairing see if that resolves the issue?
I doubt it since the transmitter provides the audio input but I'll try tomorrow morning

@stray axle wireless keyboards are few and far between, so I don't think that you can many wireless keyboard with mechanical switches without any lighting.

k63 is good, the keycaps are really nice and elegant, the build quality is pretty good too, and liked the dedicated volume and multimedia controls

@cobalt rock unlpug the Arctis 5 from your PC and restart SSE then plug it back in. If that still doesn't work try it again but plug the headset into a different USB port

@golden kite you can just grab the edges with your fingers and pull straight up
I mean they're keycaps
the idea of the puller is that you can pull it straight off easier, which is cool ig but generally not something you have to worry much about
if you have trouble with your fingers, use something like a nail file, screwdriver, pocket knife, and just pop em off
just be careful with stuff like the spacebar that has multiple points to attach at, you'll want to take those off nice and evenly

But it's not showing up as an audio option
I really believe resetting the transmitter would work but since I can't access anything I can't do that because SS decided it'd be too much effort to make a physical reset button in case something like this happens

I bought the Pro Wireless just for DTS Headhones because it just sounded head and shoulders above the Astros. I 3D audio gets added to these. Would be nice to know If that is on the roadmap. 3D audio on psvr is pretty amazing. Games have to support it too. Sony headphones are supporting Sony 360 now and it puts you right in the middle of the music. I’m really happy with this announcement.

My arctis pro headset has cracked in the very well known by know defective right hinge. I have filed a support ticket and it's taking them 7 days at a time to respond to me... Since it's under warranty they have asked me to destroy my current headset in order for them to give me a voucher to buy a new site from the website.
That's brilliant but what will I have for sound while the new set gets here? I use these for work and games every day. Paid 270 euro for the set...
Is there a way for Steelseries to maybe "hold" a sum of money as insurance until the new set gets delivered to me, then after me providing proof of destruction of the cracked ones, have them release the money back to me?

@cobalt rock It's already been 2 weeks since I opened my ticket, plus it's normally at least 2 weeks for something to ship from Denmark to Greece. That's under normal circumstances. I have no idea how long it will take with the coronavirus situation right now. And btw, as stated above, I use the headset for work as well as I work remotely and have tons of calls and meetings daily.

@pulsar badge yes that's the first place where we tried going to but a message per week is not the best communication right now. plus they impose deadlines for destroying products, without having sent a reply by that deadline.... anyway.... ill be patient and hopeful this will get sorted and ill try to find a way to work without sound after i will innevitably have to destroy my 270 euro headset...
of course all of that will affect my buying decisions and opinions from now on..

Though, I promise you, coming to Discord will not speed things up (I know you're just reaching out to whatever channels you can find-I'd likely do the same thing). Our Customer Exp/Support team is doing their best right now, given the current context of what's going on in the world, to get back to everyone and handle people's support tickets as quickly and efficiently as they can.
One thing I'd mention (if you're unaware) is that replying to your own ticket (as in, messaging support multiple times in a row) without a response from whoever is handling your ticket, resets your ticket in that individual's queue, and in turn ends up taking it longer for them to do it.
so, if you're going through the ticket process, you've taken the appropriate/only steps. Thanks

I was forced to actually go ahead and destroy my arctis pro today... They gave me a deadline of 10/4/2020 to destroy it or i'd lose the RMA. The note said if you do not wish to destroy your product say so now to look for other options. I did ask them not to do that or to destroy after replacement as it was my only headset, but nobody responded for days...... So today i broke my 270 euro only headset and I have to go buy another so that I have sound and be able to work from home....
And now who knows how long the replacement is going to take to get here........ shocking service

I just bought Artics 7, never really messed around with the EQ before and i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for me to adjust the scales? I'm having a difficult time with mw and footsteps now being clear enough.
EQ settings are something you have to mess with on your own and just find the combo that works for you because everyone's ears are different and everyone likes a different sound. There are some general profiles you can try out and then tweak from there if you aren't satisfied with the sound you're getting

The Rival 110 is fine but if you're looking to upgrade I'd either go with the Rival 3 or Rival 310. If you're looking for another keyboard the Apex 3 is a good option with membrane switches but the Apex 5 has more features if you have the cash to drop $100 on a keyboard @sick radish

I'd also recommend looking at reviews for the products you're interested in on YouTube. Especially for mice because what style of grip you use + hand size can have a big impact on what mouse is right for you @sick radish
You need to download SteelSeries Engine from their website then you can customize what's on the OLED screen, change lightning effect and all that fancy stuff

Have you tried reconnecting the headset?
Updating it on a PC using SteelSeries Engine? (pretty sure you can do that)
(Plug it into your PC with a USB cable and use the newest version of SteelSeries engine to update the firmware on the headset)
If that doesn't help I'm afraid you'll have to wait for support
Or if you happen to have a minijack cable laying around you can use that temparily to connect your headset to the controller

(I just tested the minijack cable option and that works, make sure to turn off the headset)

Nah man there’s no reason I got a bad unit I got it when it just got in stock BRAND NEW
Regardless of whether you got stock brand new, there's always a couple of bad units in the batch. If you want a 100% guarantee on something it'll be death and taxes. It sucks dude, but you gotta keep patience. Someone will get back to you if you have a support ticket :)

I know it's not much help but it's about tempering it with patience and realism. You've got to consider there's probably a high volume of support tickets and potentially minimum staff because of this virus. Someone will get back to you, it'll just take some time. :)
I’m sorry but I honestly hate how you put some much faith on a dumb, untrustworthy system that’s as rigged as the government. I 10 minute chat or call would be way morn effective then a 3 week email conversation.
And I don’t think the virus is much is a problem. Its all online based so either way it’s the same protocol
It's not about putting faith into anything. As it currently stands the only way you can get help is through the ticket system. Like it doesn't matter what I think about it, it's the way it is currently.
Covid-19 has absolutely had an effect. It's unavoidable that there's a loss of productivity doing things from home and with some many people being home there's bound to be more support tickets
They are doing their best to help as quickly as they can.
Support is what they do and while it can seem obvious to add things like a live chat or a phone number there's a reason why they haven't
I wish I could help you more @tough tapir but the reality of the matter is that you gotta wait and there's pretty much nothing I or you can do about that.
The virus is definitely an issue, work places are closed, people are hospitalised, deaths are occuring, quarantines are being mandated. It's definitely a problem, and it's guaranteed to affect productivity no matter what industry you're in. Unfortunately as lennart said, there's nothing we or you can do. Apart from being patient. Someone will be getting back to you, but we or Steel Series cannot advise on a timeline. We don't work for Steel Series. You've just got to hold on. I know it sucks, but patience is a virtue and especially in the turbulent time the world is in. :)

Idk why you think manufacturing and death and hospitals and food service whatever has a effect in customer support tickets but I got a 1 month return thing and I don’t wanna wait a month to get a email back then it’ll be too late
Well given the circumstances, I don't imagine that one month will be too much of an issue for your return.
You also have to consider that the office for customer support is probably closed until further notice, Therefore the support staff potentially don't have the necessary infrastructure, support or software in place to be 100% efficient in dealing with support tickets at home.
I think death and hospitalisations do have an impact because potentially some of the support staff could have the virus or know someone with it and cannot work at the moment. 🤷♂️ I'm just reeling off the possibilities that I can think of with the world upside down.
I have customers who I'm dealing with but I can't due to the fact my store is closed, and has been for 2-3 weeks now and I don't have the necessary software to actually perform my role while I'm stuck at home. Its not that much different for them.

@tough tapir postage isn't cheaper from Denmark. It would cost the same as a new headset pretty much. But the reality is this; we have given you all the help we can, so you'll have to get help from the support team. I don't work for SteelSeries nor do I get any money for being here.

@stark rampart Think I solved it. Streamlabs pinged all connected devices (mic, webcam etc) and that made the APW disconnect since it was on the same USB string
It shouldnt happen, but it seems to be sensitive to temp connectivity loss

To be fair, @stark rampart has tried to assist, he knows WAY more than I do on the tech side and I know nothing on it :(, all I can say is that with the world in a situation that we haven't seen since the Spanish Flu of 1918. Everything is delayed, and workplaces are shut. The support staff are doing as best they can but the ticket system is all they have to hand. You've just got to keep going with it. I don't work for steel series, I don't moderate in here. All I know is that the world is completely at a standstill and that you're just going to have to exercise some patience. Because we're all in the same boat of trying to do the best we can.
I'm not saying give up. I'm saying that it's going to take some time, do you have another headset you can use in the interim?

I’m just pissed that if you literally have any questions for steel series they send you to tier 2 which is email. If whoever runs support is smart they would just move tier 2 agents to live chat with or without the virus. So frustrating how stupid people can be
I know it's frustrating, and I do understand. I truly do, keep positive. It'll get sorted in time. But as I said, it's gonna take a bit longer. I know that's a nightmare to hear, I'm usually on the receiving end of these things at work dealing with customer complaints and enquiries and having to tell them there's delays is horrible. Even says on their support website it's going to take time as they're taking an unprecedented level of inquiries. Just gotta stay positive and keep distracted and busy and wait for a response. :)

Since I got my APW yesterday theres a lot of weird stuff going on in my USB setup - The APWs are disconnecting at any given moment, ext. mic is jumping on and off and webcam is glitching.
Also the battary that was "charging" all night only had one pip and warned for empty when I switched them this morning. The receiver /charger is connected with USB only into a USB hub.
Any thoughts?
(Could the charging of the battery be "draining" from the USB hub causing disconnections?)
