It's literally impossible to avoid having a few units with problems. That's why you've been told to reach out to support because only they can really help you and replace the headset if that's what will solve the issue :)

it's either a) the monitor only supports 144Hz through something like displayport, b) your HDMI cable doesn't support the correct version for 144Hz, or c) your laptop can't do high refresh rate through HDMI

Pretty much all the arctis headsets use USB
But with the pro, the DAC hooks in with USB, and the headset connects to the DAC with their special connector
Well, unless you're getting the pro without a DAC, in which case I assume it's USB with the regular mixer

It really boils down to how much equipment you want to have vs how much quality vs how much you want to spend. An MXL 770 might run you $60 + $15 for a stand + $100 for a decent interface (the interface will also act as your power supply) + $5 if you want a pop filter, which I recommend anyway. Vs $140 for the yeti
Not too much more and I can say I love my setup, I get great quality recordings out of it. But if you don't want to have a separate interface or a stand (I hate desk stands personally) the yeti isn't a bad mic by any means

I use it with mi Asus laptop and my work Mac as well, no issues so far.
as long as you attach it to a USB3.0 or newer type of port you'll be fine

I also have a pair of Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 headphones, and they also have it, but it's only a few seconds. Also, you hear a sort of hum when the power kicks in, the SS ones are like totally silent, so occasionally if I haven't pressed firmly enough or something, I'm just waiting... waiting... before I realize.

@prime knot most of the time to power on and off is given by the startup of the audio processor inside the headphones. I own other HiRes capable wireless headphones (Sony's) and the time to turn on is as long as the one on the Arctis Pro Wireless. When you try to increase battery life you need low power equipment which is usually efficient but very slow at startup because uses a really low frequency on-board CPU.

I quite like the prism, cant say its particularly helped me besides add to my RGB infested desk, and ive never recalibrated a rival 600

- It's just a QCK XL but with RGB, so it's as good as the non-RGB version
- I used the Rival 600 for several months before the Sensei Ten came out, I never needed a recalibration on a QCK+ surface.
- Usually the ones on stock at the moment have the newest grips...in case of issues SteelSeries can help you through the RMA process just sending you new side-panels

I mean I like it, but it has two negatives (and one thing worth mentioning) imho:
- The led ribbon around the edge, has like a very thin fish-wire wrapped around it. If you use a corded mouse, when you move the mouse, the cable
can vibrate when being dragged across it(which is very, very annoying) and sometimes is audible. - It's not quite as deep as I would like. Meaning the depth from the front where you sit, to the back where your monitor sits. I have a Roccat XL mouse mat as well, and that one is larger.
- Finally, it's a little thicker than I would like, not a major thing - I'm used to it now, but it's a thing to think about.

@noble solstice the Headphone requires 1000mA of current, specially while charging the second battery. That's why there's the auxiliary DC input. I suggest you to try to plug-in the auxiliary DC input using a phone charger (no fast-charge ones)
