they use optical switches that are said to be decent

so expect razermatic problems, buttons on both sides on an ambi / palm grip mouse no thank you.
also the synapse software is almost as bad as chinese software.
you're much better off buying from other brands, look out for Model D i say.
oh and, the price. viper ultimate costs upwards of a WIRELESS MOUSE AND A perforated design.
so you can basically buy a steelseries, logitech whatever THEN a perforated one of your choice.. that should tell you something
if you ask my honest opinion, i'd say even a swiftpoint Z is much better and that's not even a solid bar because of the build quality.
and the weight as well.

Hey, anyone know why a mic would show up in windows inputs but not pick up any sound? Passthrough to listen on speakers works, but there is no sound input registered in its properties and it doesn’t have any input in anything.

Lol well a lot of people in this server have a hate-boner for Razer, and some for good reason. In reality, unless you want to compare mouse specs or whatever it really just comes down to which style and comfort you prefer. I use a Rival 310 so I can't really say much about the deathadder or sensei ten

Like my arctis 3 wired stereo gaming headset, which I got about 2-3 months ago, keeps having a small bits of static noise which can get pretty irritating when you’re in a game where you need to hear your surroundings and it happens when I listen to music with them on. For some games it’s so bad that the static just becomes unbearable and I have to unplug them

I've had an RMA open for few weeks, and provided all the information for my RMA to go through, and I just received an email this morning saying I failed to follow procedure, even though I did. The Tech failed to communicate any reasons and to highlight what I missed if anything for over a week and a half. I feel as though the ticket was just automatically closed due to inactivity on his part (even though I sent messages asking what is going on.
so now Im sitting here with a dead mouse that is still under warranty and SteelSeries will not replace?

Could be a faulty LED or there's a firmware/software update in SSE. My M750 has a white light that comes on whenever there's a new software update. Haven't had a flashing LED happen with my Arctis 5s though @rare wolf

Arctis Pro is the best headset I've ever used
So good, in fact, that by the moment I accidentally created a small crack in the hinge of one of the earcups - because the warranty expired, I purchased the same headset from Amazon (though I started using them only recently, about 2 months after purchasing)

@wicked tree As far as I know, I am 99% certain there is no way to do this. just because they use different software, from different companies/brands and no way to link the two softwares. so best case, you line it up just perfectly yourself by clicking save/apply at the exact moment if you know what i mean

is it muted in windows? That sometimes happens to me with my Yeti. For whatever reason Windows will just mute it under the level setting in audio devices @warm flame

@warm flame If you have put any liquids near your mic and some of it got in there it might break your mic for a bit, if you leave it out it fixes the issue, but your mic will not work untill then if this is the problem

@tribal musk go into Manage Audio Devices through the control panel, go to properties for the Arctis 5 mic and then to the levels tab. Make sure the little sound symbol next to the sliding bar isn't muted

@long pagoda the 500 has what, 5 side buttons? That’s 7 less than the Naga. I prefer placement on the Naga because it’s easy for me to build muscle memory while having to move my thumb the least amount possible. There are some cases where I use every single side button on the mouse (fusion360 and c4d keybinds).

yes, using synapse 3,,, which I still have not figured out how to do the macros, just that support told me it can only do one key macros to do a sequence
