Okay so I'm having a weird error with the Apex pro I believe. it seems as though it thinks that the control or Alt key is being held at all times I've removed all of my profiles and desperation from the steelseries core it happens only after the core engine has been started at least once per boot. I can't use the keyboard to type on because it believes that the ALT key is being held and when I unplug the keyboard it still assumes the ALT key is being held. I'm at a loss here, I'm going to try to remove the core and reinstall it. If I don't have the keyboard plugged in and I restart the machine this error does not happen.
Also yes I had the updated engine
At this point I wouldn't mine's completely resetting every profile for all my steelseries devices. However there is no option to do this and I have searched online for the same concern.
So now I'm relegated to typing onto my phone to try to troubleshoot this.

Oh that's a brutal issue, I had that with both the roccat ryos(?) And the corsair k65, I believe that it sometimes isn't necessarily a fault with the keyboard but potentially the motherboard. For now I'd reccomend installing a software that disables the alt key so that you can at least use the PC
One thing to test is to unplug the keyboard and turn off (not restart) the computer and then turn on and check using the windows on screen keyboard whether or not the alt key is still pressed

Unfortunately this is definitely software, as stated I did only have this error after the initial steel series core was launched I disabled everything on startup use my PC for about an hour without issue then started the core manually and after about 3 minutes the issue arose
Good idea I'm going to try the on-screen keyboard to see the current key depressions
Okay so I have confirmed that it is the right Alt key being held down
I'm going to unplug the Apex pro restart open the on-screen keyboard and see if that changes anything. I also should note that I am using an MSI gs63vr laptop with an integrated steelseries keyboard. So generally for anything to work I would need the engine
But unplugging the Apex and restarting and again looking at the on-screen keyboard may lead me to see if it is the integrated laptop keyboard or the Apex itself
Also since I've uninstalled the engine and before then I removed all of my custom profiles there was not a macro or press to toggle for any key

Alright, i wont be able to support you too much with this issue as i dont understand it much myself. But i do remember it causing me a great deal of frustration as it renders your PC useless. I truly hope you can find a favourable resoltuion rather than taking my approach of just binning the computer

Man, this is very frustrating.
I'm going to end up scrapping the keyboard until I can get more consistent testing. But, I need to work today. I'll be writing up a document depicting my problems and (hopefully) solutions.

Probably too late for you @slim cosmos but check out Roccat mice. I think they are far superior to anything SS has to offer. I recently bought a full set of SS gear: Arctis Pro Wireless, Apex Pro, Prism XL and the Rival 710), and the only thing that really disappointed me was the mouse. Like, it wasn't close compared to my Roccat Tyon. I was a bit pissed tbh, as it was expensive.

Set one or the other as the default. Probably the headset, that way when you turn the headset off it will fall back to the next available output. When you turn it on it will automatically output.

Also I donβt know why, but I feel like the RGB is kind of wacky because whenever I set it to a hex code it looks nothing like it and itβs hard to find colors that look good. When I turn on colorshift mode though and it cycles through colors, it actually has some nice ones. I just donβt know how to get them.

Basically there are two outputs, one for chat (discord) and one for game (everything else)
You have a dial that basically turns discord up and down relative to the game. So if the game suddenly gets louder or quieter you can adjust your Discord to a volume you can hear
Basically an easy way to adjust Discord volume without leaving the game

It may not fix the issue but one thing that can always help is go to "control panel", then "device manager",then "universal serial bus controllers" and then right click headset usb then goto "properties" then "power management "and untick "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"

Im having the same issue @night folio I don't think the artics pro "wireless" is compatible with GameDAC by SteelSeries. I think only the "WIRED" artics pro with GameDAC may be the only way to combine the two?
I'm trying to ask for support to confirm this, because if that's the case, and the Artics Pro Wireless and the GameDac's that are sold separate don't work together then I would need to return the GameDac, I read that it doesn't need a GameDac because it has a built in DAC so it would be Double DACCING Lol

The GameDAC is fully compatible with the headset from the APW, but you have to plug it into it. You can't daisy-chain the APW transmitter into the GameDAC
