Is there anyone out there that could help me setting my Arctis 7 right please ? Because I guess it must be me doing something wrong.
Received it earlier today and have spent the last hours trying to set things up nicely, but now I just have a headach and want to send this headset back out
Downloaded the latest Stealseries Engine 3 on the official website, connected my headset, did the update required for it when it got recognized by the app.
Without the DTS it's just a basic headset and it's pretty sad to pay that much for this quality, and with DTS on it just sounds like a huge mess, it's terrible, I can't listen for more than 3 minutes straight when in a game. I've tried studio mod, game mod or cinema mod. small and big room, with all pre settings for each, with and without compression.
Now I've downloaded Equalizer APO app to try out...
Kind of being desperate now.

@weak bramble my problem is that with DTS turned on, what ever settings I try, the result is just atrocious sound quality, sounds like everything is just being mixed up together and I can't even tell if the sound come from left or right. Only(at least mainly) in video games. So I would like to know how to set up this headset cause I guess I did something wrong. (and without DTS it's ok but then it's pretty sad to pay that much to not even have surround sound)

@stone quail It might be that your bank changed their security measures, with my HSBC card which is a visa card they send me a text everytime i make an online purchase with a code i need to type. I'd reccomend just thinking if putting that 5 character code in can give any useful information away.

If you have the opportunity see if there are any electronic stores nearby that sell mechanical keyboards so you can get a feel for each switch since key switches are a very personal preference thing. I personally really liked black switches as they are near silent.

If you connect the headset to a device through the 3.5mm audio cable while the headset is already connected wirelessly to a PC, which device do you hear? Or do you hear both at once?

@tulip sundial Not sure about the A1. For the a7 there are two connectors, one on the headset and one on the base station. If you plug in to the headset while wirelessly connected you will only hear the wireless connection. If you plug in to the base station, you will hear both. However, the base station can’t output mic via 3.5mm, so you’d need to use your headset for that.

Yeah, I knew about that ability with the line-in on the wireless transceiver. I guess it has somewhat of a mixer in it to combine the audio. Not sure what you mean with the mic though, you're saying to use the mic with an analog device you have to be connected directly?

@elder galleon when you have it connected to PC search for Control Panel, click hardware and sound, then click manage audio devices. Go to recording and find the mic in the list. At the bottom of the dialogue box click properties. Go to the last tab of the properties box (forget what it's called) and set it to the highest quality available, then click ok.

Hey! Quick question. Just bought the Arctis Pro Wireless.
I use my PC and Switch on my PC monitor.
I have the USB connected to my PC atm, which works perfectly.
Question is: Can I plug a 3,5 to 3,5 cable in the base station and in the 3,5 headphone jack on the docked nintendo switch. Then just choose Source AUX when I want the Switch sound on my headset, and back to Source PC when I want to hear my PC sounds?

Don't need any mic on the switch, just the audio. Hate having to reach behind my PC, disconnect the USB and connect it to the switch, only to do the same in reverse when I'm using my PC again 😛
I would've tried to use the 3,5 cable solution, but I didn't have one on hand 😛 And I live on an island, so need to order one.

Actually i did double check and what i did was connect the usb into the dock and select the source as PS4 however i ran into an issue where after playing for a few hours it may disconnect @iron cloud
Although that issue may be resolved by using the optional power input to keep the transmitter station turned on at all times

I personally use the APW by having it connected to my phone via bluetooth and my pc at the same time and just control use the bluetooth button as the multimedia control. Never been a fan of having the music application actually on the computer, much prefer it if spotify is running on my phone.

Does anyone else have an issue with the Rival 600 adhesive? I use it right handed, and the adhesive used for the padding on the left side seems to be rubbing out, making the surface sticky, while also causing the rubber itself to move easier.
