I just got some new arctis 3 headsets (love them) but when i talk on discord my audio now starts to cut out no matter what. I can scream or whisper and it just cuts, then goes back to normal and cuts etc.
I've also been using peace to make them sound good if that could be affecting it but does anyone have any idea what is happeneing?

Honestly except their mice I think steelseries is a super solid choice for peripherals right now but I think they are lacking on mouse releases and really need some given what other companies have been releasing lately
About a year or two ago they were a great choice for mice but even though the sensei ten has tilt tracking or whatever I think it’s mostly a cash grab hopefully until they come out with a new lineup
Like if I didn’t already have stuff I’d gladly consider buying an arctis headset and I’d definitely buy the apex pro
That keyboard has innovation no other company offers with all the standard features as well etc and it’s still around the same price range as other flagship gaming keyboards

@vital lintel pretty much everything is at least average if not above average, like the lighting and the extra controls and they have a very good software, but it has adjustable switches with baying actuation that can be individually adjusted and fine tuned for certain activities, which is both very useful and no other keyboard has. At their lowest actuation, it’s like 0.4 mm I think, which has less latency than any other keyboard if I’m not mistaken, but yeah the adjustable actuation is a very cool and possibly useful feature and it’s still around the same price as the competition.
Also I forgot but I don’t think most companies have a mini oled display on their keyboards which is a nice feature

Yeah, it is for sure...but honestly if tomorrow Razer pays half of them to go back wired they would play the same way with a wired mouse, just tweaking options and setup...
I think that at the end of the day, and at their level is more about what they feel more comfortable with or either they are paid to use..but the performances won;t change because their mechanical skills are really top.
There's a guy on the CS:GO competitive scene which still uses a DeathAdder Chroma
but he always played at those levels palming and with that mouse...no one is able to change his mind, but he still kicks asses. I don't remember the nickname...
but at the end of the day, under a specific weight is really up to personal feeling with the due differences.
Obviously 120g are not as comfortable as 80g, but I understand who prefers 85g/90g over 70g
under 95g everything becomes really light and the differences are tighter and tighter

@jade tartan no problem I hope it helps. Btw though I do think mouse choice makes a difference even for pros. If you’ve ever watched a pro stream when they try to switch mice it’s very noticeable until they get used to it. Also in my opinion it’s like comparing a race car and a regular but very good car. The race car won’t make you a good driver but it can give you a small edge over someone who doesn’t have one, which can be especially noticeable when both drivers are very good (or very bad). Honestly though like you say it is personal preference and I’m sure some people truly do worse with a lighter mouse, I just think it seems to be the minority.

@ionic holly it might be...it's just that while a car actually is a complex system of things going on which might give you an edge with mice (excluding the sensor, cable and sktrz which we might suppose are the same) if we consider the weight alone we have to deal to simple physics and under 100g really depending on the length of the arm, the muscle memory of the single player and the muscle force that the arm is able to push because of the different muscle mass will give different results for different people.
Surely lighter fits the most and is the option which everyone will choose first...but at the end of the day it's a matter of coordination and everyone will coordinate differently with different weights in that specific range which is light for almost everyone. I'll try again the Model O this weekend, I already find more control with the QCK+ Limited and my new Sensei Ten, I think it might really help! Thanks again for the input.
But in the end I'm not surprised if someone will choose heavier or lighter than me, I think it's pretty normal, specially at different DPI settings 🙂

@minor hare I can't tell you for sure but the the cushions are different, the speakers/drivers are different and the button layout on the left ear-cup is slightly different (larger mute button, better texture on the volume wheel). Only the type of structure and the sky-goggle band are actually the same, but the rest is overall an improvement, specially if you plan to use them with a dedicated sound card. 🙂

@wintry parcel well is actually the same and has a better click, the point (or at least the difference I feel) is that is recessed and this doesn't make it satisfying as the Rival one's...
@final swift I feel the improvement with the Sensei over the rival because of two main factors: no rubber grips and ambidextrous shape. Is the new sensor better? Surely it is but the difference is so subtle that telling any difference is hard for a person, for sure not having the lift-off second sensor kicks off a lot of weight and makes the Sensei feel like a breeze. The cable is covered with the same soft rubber coating but on the Rival is removable while on the Sensei it isn't.
Going to the clicks: far better on the Sensei. More tactile, sturdy enough and give me a better sense of quality overall. The scroll wheel is recessed, this makes it strange to scroll/use while the same exact wheel in the Rival 600 feels better to use. Side buttons are way better on the Sensei, for both feeling and placing. And mouse feet are also better shaped on the Sensei as well.
Unless you want a right handed 100g mouse, the Sensei is the way to go. Better shape, better weight balancing, 8g less (that for someone are a deal) and overall better switches so far.
I used the Rival in the last 17 months after 7 years of Sensei...when the Ten was announced I pre-ordered it...so I am a bit biased about the shape. But trust me, the Sensei has a better overall package, specially if you are a low sense player.

I mainly chose the sensei cause my CPS was really downhill (7-9 while i can click 10 with my razer mouse) and the only way to get good CPS was macros mainly, I hope this will go away on the sensei

I am angry, I paid 50 euro for An arctis 3 and the last thing you could ask me to do is having to get a new one because i put the box in the recycle bin.. I want the arctis 3 not the box, Can you make so it just detects it as an arctis 3 and install the drivers. Its not too hard, I have some 20 euro headphones like my sades sa-901 what has an easier way to get the drivers for the mic.
