why does it only have 10 actuation points? in the release video it shows the actuation going smoothly, if there was 10 why wasn't it done in steps. ik you guys 100% know better than me but i dont understand how there can only be 10 different registered actuation points when its done by magnetic strength which can differentiate tenths of a mm of movement

Hi all, im after some help. I stream from a PS4, to power the LED on the headset it needs the USB connection (arctis 5), if I use a usb connection I then cannot stream with all audio, is there a USB-USB + 3.5mm audio splitter ? So I can use the PS4 just as a power source then split the audio ?

I have a steelseries m750 tkl keyboard and when crouch (ctrl) and try to strafe left (a) nothing happens. I can strafe left normally just not when I am pressed the "a" key at the same time. I think it's something to do with anti-ghosting but have no idea how to fix it.
I have also tried it in multiply games and determined it is a keyboard issue.

- The issue is not actually update-related, that's just the default text in bootloader mode
- There's a support tool that will bring it out of that state in 99.9% of cases

Because there the main feature of the headset, plus you loose the quality of sound without the USB as Iโm guessing it powers sound drivers in the headset... Hmm to my ear they sound no better than my previous headset which where ยฃ20... without the USB that is... at the moment I feel like Iโve spent quite a bit of money on something I cannot use... it isnโt steel series fault of course itโs Sony and there stupid ideas around audio... but there has to be some kind of adapter for this ? I would plug it into my streaming PC but with the capture card I have there is a delay so that wouldnโt work either

@warm imp it's actually super simple. Just hook your finger inside the earcup and pull out a little bit and you'll see the edge of the fabric pull off the inner part. Take it off all the way around and put the new ones on

and one of the magnets it uses might be on the PCB, not in the switch
plus it also needs a special component to detect how far the key is pushed down

I'm currently looking for replacement for my old Apex M800 low-profile, was there any information about future similar products? It's been a long time since a lot of people ask on reddit about this....
There's only few options on new Cherry Low Profile switches currently and either not good for me. M800 has unique keycaps and big space, I still think this is the best, but that one I have already in bad condition and there wasn't TKL version.

QS1 was an attempt at a gaming switch
But QX2 uses a more common design so can be directly compared to other MX style switches
Plus they're manufactured by gateron, who make incredibly smooth switches
Being able to get new keycaps to make your keyboard more to your liking is a great option to have too

@hoary yew FWIW I also absolutely loved the M800 and I'm not the only one internally who did. We've just launched the new line of keyboards and of course we would need to start with the mainstream obvious sellers - but just like the Arctis line it's very likely that there will be future products that cover other niches. I can't make any promises about future products, but seeing a low profile Apex someday is not something you should consider impossible.

Monitors should never be attached to both. Either all monitors into GPU if using it or all into Motherboard if not using GPU

Go check the box that the screen came in and see if there's an included Displayport cable. Use that cable with your MSI screen and the HDMI with your Acer screen

hi guys, I have a steerseries arctis 7, and i just picked up a ASUS ROG G531GW today. I installed the steel series engine (installed fine)
plugged in my wireless dongle
the engine picked up on the device just fine
It prompted me to install additional software for my headset
clicked install
at the very end of installation, it gives me a message saying i have to reconnect my headset (i never disconnected it, literally talking to people on DC as this happens)
I unplug my headset and plug it back in
"installation complete" (cool)
OH NO! now i get an error that "The core process SteelSeriesEngine3.exe does not seem to be running"; I also notice that the exe running in my system trey is gone (probably the .exe)
Ive tried resetting my host file, deleting my localapp data folder, reinstalling the engine a million times with the dongle in every hole i can fit it in. NOTHING works. Please help.
